Small dollies

I bought these to get an additional set. These came un assembled. But thought that was nice. Easily shipped and putting together which was easy. You got to really see the quality in these dollies. They are just the right size. Love them. Would buy again if the need arose.

Too tall?

Everything worked well with these dollies. The only issue I had was to be able to lift a heavy chest freezer high enough to slide a dolly underneath on each end. I purchased a strong lift dolly and added a 2x4 block for additional height. Then I was able to slide these dollies underneath. Once they were in place, it was simple to maneuver the freezer on the slab floor.

Mostly perfect except...

The items are very good. Finished well. The only problems are of the 16 casters in my order, 14 casters to frame bolts were not aligned. It took a bit of "manual adjustment to get them to fit" and 6 of the carriage bolts were not seated in the frame which made it difficult to tighten the nuts at all. I eventually got them done but it took some effort. Don't know why these problems existed but it seems to be a quality control issue.

Way Too Hard to Assemble!

Installing seven (7) of the eight (8) casters required some extra attention. What should have been a 5-10 minute job took well over an hour! As mentioned by others, two serious issues: 1). The holes for the bolts that the casters attach to are likely drilled free hand. As such, they often do not match the hole pattern of the casters! One then needs to either re-drill the holes, or enlarge the holes in the casters. The manufacture needs to make a drilling jig with proper 'Drill Bushings'. That would completely fix the problem and make it both easier and faster for the person doing the drilling. (thus actually saving money in the long run) 2). The bolts just spin when trying to tighten the nuts! Super annoying!!! In some cases, I was able to apply pressure on the back side to hold the bolt in place well enough while tightening the nut. In some cases, that simply did not work. That then required removing the carpet and somehow holding the bolt in place while tightening the nut. For the most difficult ones, I used a rotary tool and cut a slot into the head of the bolt. I was then able to hold the bolt in place with a small screwdriver. Here is the list of tools I needed to assemble: - 11 mm socket wrench - Small round file to enlarge the caster holes - Awl to remove carpet staples - long nose pliers to remove carpet staples - Rotary Tool (think Dremel or the like) with cutting wheel to slot the bolts - Small Screwdriver - Staple Gun to reinstall the carpet Time to assemble? - About 5 minutes per caster for filing bolt holes (6 out of 8 casters needed this) - 5-10 minutes per caster for removing carpet, slotting bolts, tightening nuts and reinstalling carpet (5 out of 8 needed this) Final product seems great! The quality of the materials is good. The workmanship though makes this impossible too recommend.

Just like all the others - alignment and weak

My husband ordered these, so I can't take responsibility for not reading the reviews before purchase. But since I put them together, I can frustratingly attest that the assembly for these things was eons less than stellar. I guess this is what we get with common core in our schools. Or perhaps they're made in China where they use the Metric system and the conversion didn't go so well. In any case, just like all the other reviews, the bolts didn't line up with the holes in the casters and it was beyond frustrating. Good thing I own a hammer and know how to use it. Heavily taking out my frustration, I was able to force the casters onto the misaligned bolts. Now I'm worried the integrity of the caster base will affect the weight load. But I'll deal with that later, I guess. Is it worth the purchase? Meh, I don't think so. I wish we would've just sucked it up and bought the already-assembled ones at Lowe's for $20 more. But then again, it was sort of helpful to pound those suckers onto the bolts. I got rid of a lot of frustration. Good therapy, good therapy.

Assembly can be challenging

One of these dollies was within specs, assembled easily, and was useful immediately. The other had the bolts out of usable or adjustable range. The casters would not fit over all four bolts requiring an adjustment of force to the bolts which is unachievable without some kind of tool. One of these dollies was unusable. I have had enough of return hassles, so I will deal with this myself by using the casters on a dolly I build myself, which is probably what I should have done in the first place.

Great dollies

I used 4 of them to work on my 16' 1955 Tonka Craft wooden boat as I refinished it. They worked great, handled the wight like champs, and rolled smoothly with allowed me a lot of flexibility when working on the boat. They are not large in size, so they won't take up as much space as many other furniture dollies.

Missing parts and not assembled well

These come 1 assembled 1 with wheels off which are easy to attach. mine came with 2 bolts missing, and one of the bolts was a nail which means no screw threads. Im not too concerned that missing one nut on a wheel would make a huge difference so i can live with it. Also the rest of the nuts on the assembled one we not tightened at all. I have not tried to put any heavy load on them yet. But so far they seem fine. The wheels are very big and sturdy looking and they glide well.

Thought these could handle 1000lbs, we'll see.

I have been looking for dolly's to put some of my tractor implements on to move around the shop. most are under 1,000lbs, for storage, I thought these were perfect but once reading the paper work that comes with them. 1,000 lbs "static" (to be placed) on but only 650 lbs "dynamic" ( to move). the implement I bought these for is 850 pounds. Ill try it, but do not have high hopes. Would have hoped for that to more clearly defined in the description

Manufacturing Defects - Who would have thought

Out of the eight wheels on the two dollies, three will not fit, because the centers of the projecting bolts are not even remotely aligned with the centres of the holes on the wheels assemblies. Hard to believe that a major Chinese manufacturer could have this QA problem, but I've wasted nearly an hour of my time, digging out a brass drift, hammer and socket set in order to whack these posts into alignment without destroying the threads. Not only that, but the grade of lumber used in these dollies has severely deteriorated from the superior product the company used to ship as recently as a year or two ago. It's much lighter weight, being a different species, and been extensively filled. (Can't comment on any impact on the weight bearing capacity.) Overall, a real disappointment and very frustrating.

Assemblage difficile

Les roues ne sont pas installées. Je l'avais vu. Le problème, c'est que les trous dans la plaque d'acier ne correspondent pas à l'emplacement des vis. Il a fallu utiliser un marteau qui a tordu la plaque d'acier pour pouvoir assembler le tout correctement. Très frustrant, d'autant plus que c'est assez cher. Par contre, pour changer le piano de pièce, cela a bien été. Mais les roues dures pourraient grafigner un beau plancher de bois.

I have purchased this before and have been working well but this is a defective batch none of the caster fit correctly into the screws. I tried all 8 casters to fit into different screws even with force none of the caster fit correctly. Complete waste of time and money!
