A kickass tool that needs EASY fixes to two simple problems.
Alright folks, listen up! Yes, there are design flaws. But they are very, very easily remedied. Read on for how to overcome the problems with this awesome hella timesaver tool! The problems mentioned in other reviews are correct. The design is such that the problems are unavoidable. 1. The OD cup detaches from the shaft. When plastic is attached to metal in a tool specifically used for torsional stress, it will eventually break (sure wish things were still made of metal!). One can hasten this break by using an impact driver, or operating at too fast a speed, or pressing the cup too deeply onto the pipe. Even if one does none of these things, the plastic will eventually break where it bonds with the metal shaft. 2. The ID brush spins loose out of its mount. This only happens if the tool is used in a clockwise rotation (righty tighty). This is because the spiral wire that forms the shaft body is spun in a counter-clockwise manner. How to fix the problems: 1. Add a hose clamp around the skinniest part of the plastic, where it attaches to the metal shaft. You could probably also encapsulate it in some JB Weld if you really wanted to overdo it. Definitely use a low speed setting on your drill/driver. Consider not using an impact driver. And do NOT push too far down the pipe -- you only need 1/2" to 3/4" polished. 2. Set your drill/driver to counter-clockwise use (lefty loosey). That's it! Just run the drill backwards when using the ID brush. Don't let the design flaws of this kickass tool keep you from buying it. If you've made it this far, you're already someone who can easily overcome the problems. Just make a sure you buy a tiny hose clamp at the same time (NOT a spring-style clamp, you want a worm-gear style).

Smart and helpful tool, almost perfect
This is a great product idea that can save your elbows wrists and shoulders(specially if you are older). Some reviewers claimed it breaks and so in order to prevent it, I layered the weak area, close to the 1/4" shaft, with J&B plastic Weld(shiny part in the pictures). I believe this extra reinforcement will get it to last longer and maybe not break. Good idea made better.

Would not sweat copper without this tool
I renovated my bathroom, and installed a shower system using copper with 2 shower heads, 4 body sprays, and a diverter along with the mixing valve. I can't count all the joints I had to sweat, but it was a lot. This tool attaches to a drill and makes it 100X easier to clean the inside of the fittings and outside of the copper pipe. I could not imagine doing all that by hand, I would have arthritis if I tried. This tool was a live saver, I followed the guidance of another reviewer who suggested to put a small worm clamp on the plastic sleeve to keep it from breaking. Not sure if I needed it, but was good for peace of mind. The outside wire bristles worked perfect, but the inside pipe cleaner bristles seemed like they could be a little longer, as I had to wiggle the tool a little more to really clean the inside of the pipe. Only thing that made it less than perfect. Either way, this tool is a must have!!

Works great, saves a ton of time!
This thing works great. Saves a ton of time. The bad reviews are most likely from people who do not know how to use it properly. The red part of the tool slides forward, (completely burying the inner wire brush in the middle section of the red part) to clean the outside of pipe, then slides back(to expose the inner wire brush) to clean the inside of fittings. I'm betting the people who broke theirs were accidentally cleaning the inside of the pipe, big no no. One star taken off because the red outside of pipe cleaner can be difficult to slide causing you to force it and scrape up your fingers or hand on the "inside of fitting" cleaner but I'm not sure if it would work as good if it was looser.

Decent value, two in one copper prepping
This works well, but burns out just as quickly as other, cheaper interior pipe cleaning brushes on the market. It was nice to save on some elbow grease and sore forearms when compared to sandpaper on the exterior, but seems designed more for the at home handyman vs a plumber or tradesman. Was nice while it lasted but didn’t mast more than a day or two.

Built to last
Very well built for the task it was designed for.

works as described but...
They seem to work fine and have lasted one house of copper but unfortunately one of them completely broke on me after about one week. Otherwise the other one is still going.

Very convenient
I must say I absolutely love this item, although I'm used to the 1/2" size and found the plastic on this one broke pretty quickly from general use. Maybe using this with an impact driver wasn't the smartest idea, but it shouldn't have a 1/4" quick connect in that case. Other than the minor fact I can't use this item quite as intended, it still cleans copper amazingly, both outside tube and inside fittings. Just beware the plastic is on the tube cleaner is the weak point.

Don't buy
This product broke the first time used. I will say this many times, plastic and metal do not work well as a tool. Save your money. Don't buy!

Work decent but doesn't seems to last
It does make the job a lot quicker and do a decent job of cleaning copper but it look like its wearing out after only about a week

Probably okay for home owners for diy
If your a tradesman dont waste your money. used it for a day and a half and the pipe cleaner sheared off of the shank. Would probably be best used as a home owner small diy plumbing project

Sent the wrong size.
These things work amazing as long as you don’t use an impact and keep the RPMs below 1000. They sent the wrong size tho.
