it works
It works well heavy duty inexpensive. The rope can be a little rough on the hands though It slides through the tree nice.

Thought for sure I’d need a heavy bag, turns out I don’t.
I an clearing raw land with mucho cedars, this is heavier than I thought it’s be. Great little set up.

A well worth it purchase.
I’m glad I bought this throw weight and line. It’s made it a lot easier to get an antenna up in a tree. It never got tangled up once. Smooth entry and exit through the trees I’ve tried it on. Trying to make my own weight and line failed most times. it took my more than 3 some times 4,5 tries. It got stuck many times eating up my radio time. The Weaver arborist set is awesome. So this is the solution the problem. Get one… Thanks!

Works great!
I use this for Ham radio antenna deployment. The weight is really durable and easy to throw high in the trees. Line slides over the limbs very easy as long as you have no tangles in your line. Would recommend for pota setups.

It works
Have been using this a couple days on fifty to seventy foot trees, with an arborist sling shot. The line is not so good. I had to pass it through my hands four times to get all the kinks out, to avoid a birds nest tangle. Don't know if it the material or the way they pack the line, but it kinks very easily. Once I'd passed it through my hands and untwisted the line it has worked perfectly each time. The throw weight is holding up after a dozen high throws on half a dozen tall trees. We'll see how that goes...

This thing was really useful
I had a dead tree leaning towards my house that I was afraid to put a ladder against to put a rope high up. There was one crotch in the tree about 50-60 feet up. It took a few tried but I managed to get this up and over. The bag held up well given that I missed a few times so it hit the ground hard a few times. One thing I would point out is that it does need a bag or something to keep it from getting tangled.

Good weight, line not very good
The weight is fine, but the line is not something I would have chosen. I used paracord for the throw line.

Amazing Item Helped!
I needed something to toss up 20 feet high and by throwing underhand i would of never of gotten a rope with a chain saw blade that was tangled in the tree branches. This was superb!!

Works great.
I have used it quite a bit and it has smashed to the ground several times including into rocks and it seems very durable. No complaints here. Great product.

Decent line for camping, tangles easy
I use this for hanging tarps. Its decent line if you can keep it untangled. I cut it into smaller pieces to make it more manageable. The throwing bag so far is great - way nicer than tying rope to a rock or a stick to get it over a tree branch.

The ball is good, the line is garbage
The line is stiff poly woven line, identical to the cheap nylon yellow rope that haunts your nightmares. The weaver ball is a good quality however.

Neat rig. Works well.
Great for getting line into trees. I get branches up at 40 and 50 feet with a double arm toss.
