Thin, overpriced and flimsy.

Sadly there are few choices to make this simple connection for the dishwasher hose to the air gap. This one is thin rubber, too flexible that can kink easily if not connected perfectly and overly expensive. At one fourth the cost, perhaps a fair value. At the current price, it is a poor value made with poor quality materials. I expected more from the brand Waste King.

Excellent replacement connector.

I hired a contractor to install my cabinets and countertops, and in the process they threw out all of the parts to my disposal and sink. Huge d'oh! I bought this part to replace the connector between my dishwasher discharge hose and my disposal. I chose it because the clamps are tightened by screws - the user can tighten or loosen them depending on need. It was very easy to install. You can trim it to fit different sized hoses - I had to cut it down by one size. Use one clamp to secure the connector to the disposal, cut and trim the other end to the size that fits the dishwasher hose, then use the second clamp to secure the connector to the dishwasher hose, test for leaks, and you're in business! I had a slight leak after my first try but was able to fix it by re-positioning the dishwasher hose and re-tightening the clamp. If I can do it, you can do it!

Misleading Description

This is NOT for 11/4" pvc, rubber boots and hose clamps are for going over the outside diameter of pipe, so describe the inside of your product not the od. Same product is offered a Lowes home improvement for less money.
