'87 4wd Toyota Vanwagon
These hubs are GREAT! I bought these to replace the original auto-locking hubs for my '87 Toyota Vanwagon that would pop and clunk every time I engaged the 4wd. I did a little research and found that these are the same hubs for pickups and 4Runners of the same era. (Amazon doesn't acknowledge the existence of the 4wd vans.) The worst part of the installation is three removal of the automatics. When I removed the passenger side, I saw where the noise was coming from. The hub's brake drum was broken and there were pieces of it floating around in the hub. Warn says that installation kit #29918 is required for installation. This kit is NOTHING MORE than the spindle nuts and washers that Toyota used to install manual hubs in stock applications. Do yourself a favor and go directly to Toyota for these parts. Toyota charges less than half for them than Warn Industries does. These things look great and, so far, seem to be of high quality!

Easy Installation, Solid Design.
So far so good, but all I've done thus far is install them and check that they engage properly. These Warn hubs have a lifetime warranty, and were slightly less than the factory Aisin replacements for my 86 4runner, they also seem to have a better designed spring than the Aisins, but only time will tell if it is truly better. They bolted up super simple, just an easy remove old, install new. Nothing too difficult. They even eliminate the dreaded cone washers that the factory hubs require for centering on the studs, this is a huge plus because those things are a pain. The O-ring on the base of the hub is awesome because it provides a much better seal from the inevitable water that most off-road trucks see. If these things turn out to be anything less than I expect then I'll update, but they seem super solid in comparison to the stock Aisins.

Quality Manual Hubs
Quality manual hubs for my 95 4runner with ADD. Very easy install and no need for any extra parts. Using oem nuts and supplied washers bolts directly to studs. Has almost full turn to lock or unlock settings, These hubs on unlock allow front wheels to turn freely with out CV axle movement when 4x4 is not needed. When locked they work just like factory and can be 2x2 or on the fly 4x4 shifting from inside the vehicle. Good investment to keep wear and tear down and easier rolling of vehicle. Not OEM but a Great quality replacement hub. These were obtained at the best price on sale from seller. Shipped out fast and arrived with all hardware and gaskets.

No conversion kit required for 2nd Gen Toyotas with ADD hubs.
Update: after driving these around a little and really looking at them, I am a little disappointed in the quality of the silver-colored metal on the cap assembly. It seems really cheap. Like a lot of people, I looked around for Aisin hubs first but did not have the time to wait for them. If these hold up, great but if not I will definitely track down the Aisin hubs. ——————————— Put these hubs on a 1994 Toyota 4Runner with the ADD hubs. Note that NO spindle conversion kit was required. Hubs seem good but the quality is definitely somewhat less than what I remember way in the past. Many people recommend the Aisin hubs for Toyotas but they are a pain to find and often overpriced. Installation was very easy and quick.

A great addition to my truck!
These Warn hubs were a breeze to install. As long as you don't need to repack the bearings (you really should do that once in a while) it will only take maybe 20 minute per side. The factory ADD system is silly-only one side is disconnected so the spyder gears spin like crazy. With these hubs everything will be diconnected for slightly better gas mileage plus the half shaft bearings and boots will last forever. I left my ADD system intact so if I want, I can lock in the hubs at home and wait to put it in 4wd in the mud without getting muddy. Another plus- if a half shaft breaks in the hills, I can just unlock the hubs, tie up the shaft and drive home. These Warn Hubs are GREAT!

Did not receive the hardware to hold the hub cover ...
Did not receive the hardware to hold the hub cover on! There's only one bolt on each hub so I'm missing 10 The part reading "important:remove the brake cone, keyed washer and splined drive from wheel end prior to installing the new hubs" why is this important and also why is it not on the instructions online when I search the part?

1990 4runner
These are nice fit for my 90 4runner. It comes in handy being able to disengage the front cv axles, in case you bust one or something, and that is aside from having them disengaged when not in use to save the parts and increase economy of fuel. If I could go back, I would probably go with the aisin hubs instead, seem easier to set. Rotating these the full 180 degrees is a little pain and grasping the knob is not as easy as I want. But these are nice hubs and make things easier to do.
