Good for long train waits
I use this when waiting for the train. Someone mentioned it's not for smooth floors but I had no problems. It doesn't leave marks on the floor but maybe it does so when you're on the heavy side? I don't know. Still something to keep in mind though. Only nitpick I have is the circle caps on the seat hurt my legs a tiny bit but I rather deal with that than standing over a half hr for the train.

Amazing little stool!
I got this stool to carry with me on hikes because I have sciatic pain and sometimes need to sit down to relieve the pain. This stool is really nice because it's sturdy enough to hold me up (and I am a large person - it definitely can handle bigger loads!) and it's easy to set up and collapse. Best of all, it doesn't weigh that much or take up a lot of space, so I can carry it in a tote bag or backpack without any trouble. The only drawback is it's a smidge too big for a standard hydration backpack. As for comfort, it is what it is. It works great for short-term use, but wouldn't want to sit on it for more than maybe 15 minutes at a time. But if you just need something for short intervals, it's a great choice.

For use outdoors only!
This product is strictly for outdoor use. It can not be used on any surface, such as cement floor in a store , or wooden floors, linoleum flooring or such. It has plastic little pointed cap ends to dig into the ground. If you attempt to use on other surfaces it will slide and not be steady. It is light weight and easy to use and assemble.

I can get into a fairly comfortable position, and the tall height allows you to ...
I am writing this review while sitting on my 60cm height walkstool. The seat is very small, and as another comment mentioned, it can be unaccommodating to the male anatomy. I have to manually reposition my balls each time I sit down or there is no space for them and they get squashed uncomfortably by the support between my legs. Because it is a tripod, you either have to sit with one corner between your legs, and one behind each butt cheek, (digging into each cheek may be more accurate), or try to sit with one of the supports behind you, and one on either side(I find this impossible myself, as I have to lift my legs off the ground and I sink back into the stool). That being said, if I work at it, I can get into a fairly comfortable position, and the tall height allows you to have part of your weight carried by your legs on the ground. I am a 6 foot (5'11") tall male, who weighs 190lbs, with a 34" waist. After 15 minutes or so, it can get uncomfortable, and you have to be very conscious of how the seat is supporting your weight. That being said, I'll probably keep it and use it. At the low height setting I don't have these same issues, as it puts me in a nice squat position, and I can squat on basically anything. At the low height it works like a monopod with just one point of contact with the ground. It's about as comfortable as when I sit on my skateboard, except you have a rotational axis of movement instead of a horizontal one. I actually have figured out how to sit on the full height configuration with one support behind, basically on my tailbone, and the two front supports supporting each leg midway on my hamstrings. I also have to lift my feet off the ground, and grab onto the midpoint of the supports with my feet like a monkey, halfway between the seat and the ground where the supports intersect, with my feet. This is probably the most long term comfortable position, just as long as you get your pelvic tilt right, so your lower back doesn't curve. So with a little work, it can be pretty comfortable. I got the basic model and not the comfort one, so that's what you might have to deal with. Other than that, the quality seems excellent, and I anticipate it will last a long time and go anywhere without trouble.

Amazingly comfortable, compact and quiet
The Walk Stool Basic is extremely lightweight. It arrived yesterday so as of now I've only used it for scouting today. The walk stool basic is so compact and lightweight that I carried it in the pockets of my fleece pullover. I could easily zip both pockets shut which is a plus when crawling over dead tree and ducking branches. The walk stool basic is also quiet, I simply press the red button before slowly extending the legs. I leaned against a tree for back support. I have the 24 inch basic model. I was so impressed with how comfortably smoooth and quiet it performed, I've decided to use it on tomorrow's bow hunting trip and prepared a permanent place to keep it in my hunting backpack. I plan to carry it anywhere and everywhere I hunt or scout from the ground. This stool is also sturdy and durable.

Great collapsible stool for a Massage Therapist.
As far as tripod stools go, this one is great. It collapses to a convenient compact size and feels very sturdy, both in stability and in build quality. Its also great for anyone who is wanting a portable stool that sits right around standard chair height. My only gripes are minor. The release buttons for each leg should protrude further because they currently require a dead-center firm deep press to completely disengage the spring action lock. Once disengaged the legs squeal loudly when retracting or extending. I assume spraying lube may help it but I haven't decided on that route yet. Lastly, the most minor issue is that the leg ends are triangular edges which seem great for grass or ground stability but seem to cause slight sliding on tile and other very smooth surfaces. In the end, that could be more of a personal preference dislike more than functional. The material does seem very durable though. I might add that some men may need to adjust "themselves" at first seat, but that's more of a personal anatomical thing if you get my drift. Being a Massage Therapist who makes house calls and performs at athletic events and locations, there is a great need for a seat at the correct ergonomically friendly height that is lightweight and portable enough to accompany my table and other equipment. I use my table at the 4th adjustment peg and this 24" stool is perfect for me.

Very useful stool
Comfy and the height adjustable legs are brilliant. So light but very solid. Pricey but if you plan to carry it, this is the one.

Always with us. Bought another.
Great stool, bought to replace a cheap one after seeing one at a festival. Really light weight and simple to use. Even though it's the basic version, it's really strong and weighs very little. Fits in a rucksack and the height is perfect for talking to people whilst sitting at festivals and camping or as a spare chair when somebody pops by the camper van for a chat and we need an extra seat. We bought a second one so we both have one when out walking.

Easy Kneesy
This was bought for my 71yo dad to use in airport queues and on holiday when his knees get sore and he needs a seat. It's lightweight, extends like crutches on the legs so it's super small for hand baggage and pocket carrying but tall enough for sore knees not to have to bend much to get up and down un-assisted and super sturdy as he is 18 stone. It has been well worth the money and staff even brought him out of the queue to speed up his check in because he wasn't complaining just getting on with it! Well worth it. He said he used it everywhere, on boat trips, on the beach and in bars where there was no seating. He took it on a regimental day (ex paratrooper) when he got home and all his old comrades are getting one too haha.

Lightweight
I got this for camera operating pitchside at football games. It is good for most of the game. The only issue I have is that when I stand up it has a tendency to fall or get knocked over easily. It is really good build quality and holds my 120kgs+ Frame. It is comfortable for short sits but longer ones would be better with some sort of cushion too.

Great stool, comfy and lightweight.
This is what I call a stool. It is very light and very comfortable, not having the sagging seat that other similar stools have. Only downside is that by having a large comfy seat, it makes the spread of the feet smaller, thus less stable on soft ground. A point to watch, but does not detract from 5 stars. I sent 2 other makes back to Amazon as they were not as described, but this stool is very, very good indeed. I suffer with a bad back and can go fishing again now I have this stool. BUY ONE.
