ARMY Medic, Full-Time Police, SWAT Medic. Awesome for the price!
I've been using this drop leg kit for about 14 months now. I am about to buy a second one and decided to write a review about the first because it is AWESOME! For the price, it's top notch. How I use it: Full-time police officer in a high-crime suburb of a major city. I have chased after and wrestled multiple suspects, all while wearing this kit. I have the belt connector attached to my inner belt (the belt under the 2-inch duty belt), on my support side. Whenever I respond to a possible gun crime, I hook up the thigh holster while I'm driving to the scene. Approximately two weeks ago, this kit came out when I was the first to reach a victim who was shot four times. "Part-time" SWAT. Whenever we serve search/arrest warrants, or whenever we get called out to hostage/barricaded subjects, this in on my leg THE WHOLE TIME. It istocked the same way with all the items that are photographed. Army Medic (National Guard). I haven't used this pouch on the military side (color is out of regulations and probably not tactical pattern for military). I would PROBABLY trust a brand new pouch to take on a year-long deployment as a medic, but I would guess it would be pretty beat up at the end of that year. But damn, for twenty bucks? This thing is awesome! The metal buttons at the bottom of the molle straps show a little rusting, but I don't think it is anywhere near failure if I were to use the molle straps. That's about the only con. How it's packed: This is not packed for "boo-boos" or illnesses. No band-aids, burn dressing, lollipops. This is packed in compliance with TCCC protocols, the guidelines used by the military to care for TRAUMA patients. More specifically, PENETRATING TRAUMA (Not blunt force trauma). I try to pack it in the order the I intend to access it (Hence why the tourniquet sits on the outside): 1 x Trauma Shears w/ lanyard 1 x Triage Ribbons 1 x CAT Tourniquet 2 x Medical Gloves 3 x Hemostatic Gauze 4 x non-hemostatic Gauze 1 x Elastic Bandage 1 x Pressure Dressing 2 x NPA Airway w/ lubricant 2 x Chest Seals 1 x NCD Needle 1 x IV starter kit 1 x 1-inch tape I hope you find this useful. Please feel free to ask questions. I will be happy to answer.

Excellent carry bag for first aid items
As a person trained in First Aid/CPR through the National Safety Council, as well as a volunteer with the American Red Cross, I had been looking for a way to carry standard first aid supplies as well as basic trauma supplies, and came across this bag. Prior to this I had been using an olive-green NATO style field medic shoulder bag which, frankly, carried enough supplies for me to carry out procedures on people for a week or better, should a full-fledged zombie attack occur; FAR more than I would conceivably need! Thankfully, two friends of mine (one is a LEO in Vermont, the other a former military man) reminded me of that fact, and that the idea of first aid is basic care until more advanced help arrives, and so I went looking and found this. The construction is top notch, and the fact that you can either carry it attached to your belt or attached to your belt AND securely fastened around your leg makes it that much better. The straps are adjustable, and I can personally attest to being able to jog/run while wearing it. The belt loop can be quickly detached (it connects by means of overlapping Velcro attachments), or can be un-clipped as well, by means of a sturdy plastic clip. Mine came with a camouflage medic cross on a Velcro patch, but I replaced it with a "Medic Cross Tactical Patch - Red & White by Gadsden and Culpeper" (also bought here on Amazon),and made it much more recognizable. The interior pouches and loops carry basic equipment, and allow for easy storage and retrieval. The bag, insofar as I know, is not waterproof, and so I recommend that anything that could be harmed by water be stored inside a self-sealing plastic bag. I carry it whenever I am out and about and/or traveling, as well as when I go walking. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a way to carry basic first aid supplies with them, wherever they may be.

Well Made and a Good Value
Not a bad design and well made. Allows you to easily carry the contents of a standard (yes, "standard" varies by branch)IFAK with room left for mission specific add-ons based on need or advanced skill set of the operator. Ideal if you are crafting a kit to care for you and others if needed. The layout is efficient and logical. The elastic loops are sturdy and sized to securely hold a variety of items. Contents stay in place when the kit is open. The drop leg design (can also mount directly to vest via MOLLE) allows you to carry it on the FRONT of the left leg vs the side. Front leg carry allows you to just look down to see the items that are accessible with either hand. Is also a stable platform to work from when kneeling (hope you are "Off The X" and kneeling, or lower if someone just rapidly developed a need for the contents of your kit) It may be a bit over sized if just want to carry a standard IFAK. Ideal if you want to expand on the basic kit. Only give it 4 stars because the exterior lacks a Velcro panel to attach an identifying patch and lack of an integrated loop (like USGI IFAK) to anchor a roll of tape.

Excellent
Great quality pouch, bought it to carry wallet and phone when riding my motorcycle. While it's winter right now so I haven't tried it in action yet, I am positive it will serve my purpose well. Being 5'1" short I didn't want anything too big, and this is perfect. The thigh strap is super adjustable and comes with an elastic loop that can hold all the excess strap securely. There are a bunch of loops on the inside walls of the pouch to hold whatever loose stuff you may have, and a drainage hole at the bottom. The part that attached to your belt have double velcro so that's also super secure.
