Cool just not super cool

I have the pink .50 oz and I like that one way more although it’s more expensive, probably cause of the quality. This one isn’t hard to push but the pink one is somehow easier. The steel is also better quality. It looks shiner and like it won’t rust as fast or maybe ever? This black one is already rusted only a little but the steel also looks less quality and has an ugly circle that looks like what I imagine ringworm to look like lol. I need this though for cookies so it’s ok for me for now. I also need a 2 oz but I know I could just mount them on and then make a bigger one out of the .50 oz so idk maybe I won’t keep it. I do suggest their pans though. The quarter size is smaller than a 10 x 15 and the half sheet is big but I think they’re nice for veggies and food even cookies but I use Wilton for baking. You can use this though I just already have Wilton. I want to use the stainless sheets for dinners. A cool chef on YouTube said these are good and it’s better if they bend like most sheets do as long as they bend in a way that distributes the oil or water toward the corners, in other words if the center pops up instead of down. Because the heat will then distribute to the corners which don’t get as hot to begin with. I think that’s cool to know. Also seasoned pans are nice but if they’re too seasoned “oiled stained brown” they will make your cookies, breads brown more and faster than a new sheet. So be patient with the pans for them to get a bit seasoned and well also maybe change them when they get too seasoned or give them a good clean. Sorry I always write reviews and give info with other products I like. I love kitchen supplies.

This IS EXCELLENT and not to be used for cold hard ice cream! That is not it's purpose!

Vollrath Dishers Are The Best! These are professtional food service portion control scoops or "DISHERS" for servers. This is not meant for hard cold items. See the plastic handle? It will snap under pressure. If you are getting it for an ice cream scoop you're getting the wrong thing. You will need something with a sturdy metal handle. I got this information from the company. Be gentle. It will save the scoop and your hands when scooping tons of cookie dough. This is not made for hard cold food. I use these all the time for my soft but cool cookie dough and get perfect sized cookies all the time. The other disher sizes are perfect for filling cupcake or muffin liners, and scooping icing on a cake layer for perfectly even amounts for consistant results. These are for consistant measuring portion control. Hence, the listed size and measurement. I own the whole line and get consistant results for my cupcakes, cookies, fillings, homemade meatballs and my plate portions (when I'm dieting from eating too many of my cakes, cookies, etc...lol) These are professional items. I don't belive they have a lifetime warranty except for commercial food service operations. TOOO MANY PEOPLE DONT USE THESE CORRECTLY AND THEN COMPLAIN WHEN THEY BREAK! USE THE RIGHT TOOL FOR THE JOB! THEY ARE EXCELLENT AND HAVE LASTED ME FOR YEARS. I give these as gifts for friend who love to bake. My sister got these for food portion control. THE BLACK HANDLED 30 IS THE RIGHT SIZE FOR MY COOKIES. Have Fun.

Best dishers available

These are simply the best dishers available. So easy to use, clearly marked with sizes, and also color coded by size. Makes it really easy to make perfectly sized anything.I always make a note on my recipes with the number and color of the disher that best suits my purpose, cookies sized to fit a cello bag just right etc. Have been using these for many years with 3 church bake sales per year, and I have not had to replace any! Highly recommend .

UNBREAKABLE

We used to go through so many scoops of this same exact design (BLACK) at work because they were so cheaply made, and we have rock hard ice cream. For the price, its really good and its been alive for a while, hopefully it doesnt break

Robustly made

I purchased this to replace a disher with the caliper type handle - you squeeze both handles together and cause the sweeper to rotate. That old disher failed after a just a few years because the axle that rotates and moves the sweeper is only pressure fit into the gear, and it came loose and so it no longer works. It was an expensive disher (Farberware), more than twice what I paid for this one. This disher has a thumb lever that rotates the axle, and I am very happy to see that the gear, axle, and sweeper are one piece of steel. The axle is also a much larger diameter than the old one (more than double). Every part of this disher is much more robust than the old one. (The picture is deceptive - it looks kinda flimsy, but it is not.) So I expect to scoop a lot of cookies with this one for many years to come. I am also very happy to see that this disher was made in the USA, and it is stamped Vollrath.

Best size 30 scoop I've found!

We went through a few scoops to try and find one that actually produced the results we were looking for and this brand did! The ejection was smooth and didn't remove unnecessary amounts of cookie dough. We will be buying more for our business.

Disappointed

I have a couple other sizes, and they are fantastic. I was buying some as Xmas gifts. These were grinding and sticking. Absolutely unacceptable at this price. Not sure where the quality control is?
