Takes a Bit of Work to Get Just Right
I like the build quality of the item. Heavy-duty steel parts, the clips are solid and there are 4 rivets holding the rails on to the tray. The tray I got is red by the way, not gray as shown in the photo as of writing this review (Feb. 2013). No big deal to me, I just wonder what color I will get when I order my next one...Which I will. The clips are tight! First off, I was using my fingernails to spread open the clips to insert on the rail - my nails are now all chewed, should've used pliers to do this. Then I had to slide the clips into position along the rail...That was fun, the sound of metal scraping on metal - like fingenrails on a chalkboard. The biggest issue was the mounting of the sockets on the clips. Like I said, they are tight - I had to use a pair of pliers to gently squeeze all of the clips in order to insert the 1/4 and 3/8 sockets. The small 1/4's sizes are especially tough to get out of the clips as provided. The key is to gently squeeze - too much pressure and the sockets will not lock in. I spent some time un-squeezing a few clips to get them just right. The number of clips is a bit unbalanced for me; needing a few extra for the 1/4" and having a bunch left over for the 1/2". But, there is know way to tell how much one will need. I did have more than enough clips for the 3/8" (30 clips) which seem to be the most common size. Despite the added depth of the tray, it still fit nicely into my toolchest (Kirkland/Costco brand - SS tool chest). So that took care of my Craftsman English sockets, now I need another tray for my Metric ones. Then, off to find something for my deep sockets.

Great Product, missing some 1/4in clips
I ordered this product on July 28 using my free trial of Amazon Prime. I recently ordered a 239pc Craftsman Easy-to-Read Tool set and needed some kind of organization for my 158 sockets. I choose one day shipping and today July 31 it arrived. I was very pleased with the prompt shipping and delivery. I opened it up and went to work putting the clips on the rails. A lot of people cited this being one of the big issues with this item, and in my opinion it does hurt your fingers bending the clips so they'll snap on the metal rails, however in the end it was worth ever bit of the hassle. When I got all my sockets placed it their positions it was beautiful, one of the nicest items of this nature out there. It's very sturdy, can be picked up and transported without any of the sockets sliding or moving. Also I just purchased a Craftsman 5 Drawer Tool Center and the 2 Drawer Intermediate Chest to go with it, and in the very top part of my tool chest, I can fit two these with all my ratchets and extensions. Now when I open up the hinged lid, it has a very nice display of all my fully polished 158pc Craftsman sockets. The only thing I have found wrong with the product is, one of the two trays I ordered was short a few 1/4in clips for the rails, and now I guess I will have to try to get some from Sears. Other than that, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to get their sockets organized, and also wants to display them nicely. Also, try Amazon Prime. They offered me FREE two day shipping on this and other qualifying items. Couldn't be happier with Amazon, as always

Compact yet will hold 27mm socket next to each other.
I bought 2 of these to hold most of my sockets. I have a HarborFreight 44" Toolbox and these will fix next to each other on the top large drawer with no problem. I like this Vim Tools V444 socket tray better than the others because I'm trying to maximize my drawer space. Being that it's 6x18 in dimension, it's the most compact tray I have found. Yet, it allowed me to place a deep and a shallow 27mm next to each other with no problem. The two sockets will touch, but it's not like it's pushing each other, so I think 28mm next to each other will not fit. Cons: the handle on the side is wrap downward, so when you place the tray flat in your drawer, the tray doesn't really lay flat. One side is a little elevated than the other side. Since the retaining clip are brand new, it really holds the socket in place. So when you want to pull out the sockets, you may have to use 2 hands to get the socket out. I guess over time, the clip will get worn and loosen grip a bit.

Great
Keeps sockets together. Hangs on pegboard over the bench. Easy to carry when I need to.

Same tray you can get from the big name tool trucks
Great well made socket tray that you can find on most "tool trucks". Very sturdy! Very convenient if your a mechanic that travels or you frequent junk yards. Keeps all your sockets handy and organized! Some of the clips are pretty tight on the sockets, causing some frustration when trying to remove sockets with one hand. Plus installing the clips can be a challenge on your fingers, I ended up using a screw driver to stretch the clips over the rails, much easier then by hand. Other then that, i would not hesitate to purchase again.

Great for tops of tool carts, deep drawers, etc.
Great for tops of tool carts, deep drawers, etc. I despise the metal clips when used on a single track style socket holder. But for some reason when used like this, with a lot of weight from impact sockets holding it down, it is much more manageable. Love it, have one at work, and one at home. Want a second for both. Will definately be adding more, as i go.

Solid construction
Very solid construction. The provided clip slide onto the rails easily and hold my socket perfectly. I have a set of heavy duty 1/2 inch deep sockets on there and I can turn the tray upside down without them falling off. Very please with this purchase.

Hard to Assemble
Holds a lot of sockets and holds them very firmly on the tray (even most larger sockets). Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the clips do not come already loaded on the tray and they hurt (A LOT) to try to get on with bare hands. They are very difficult to get on and there are not enough clips of some of the sizes.
