A deep unique fragrance

This is probably my favorite scent of all time. The Haunted mansion candle had a smooth nature-like musk fragrance that compliments the space it is lit in. The smell is not sweet or overwhelming. This candle is great for comfort and a calm atmosphere. Fairly enjoyable product and a prized purchase.

My Absolute Favorite Scent

So far I've purchased VC's Haunted Mansion six times, and I absolutely LOVE the scent. Each candle has been incredibly long lasting, burns evenly and super clean (unlike the last few Yankee Candles I've purchased that produced little more than unbelievable amounts of soot.) Haunted Mansion is not an overly strong, headache-inducing scent, but it's certainly not weak, either. It's just the perfect scent/throw to use in my bedroom. I keep trying other candles, but I always find myself coming back to repurchase this one. I've purchased Ghost Cemetery a couple of times, and while I do like it, it can't compete with Haunted Mansion. To me, Ghost Cemetery has a much stronger, sweeter scent/throw. If you're wanting a candle to put in the living room to fill the whole house, Ghost Cemetery would definitely accomplish that.

Grim Grinning Ghosts in a Jar

This is a candle whose scent is hard to describe. But I'll try... The top note is definitely berries, which was unexpected. Middle and bottom notes weave together patchouli, vanilla, musk and a dusty fog aroma that gives the final result a spooky feeling. Perfect for Halloween, spell casting or just closing the curtains and putting on some Stevie Nicks. In general, I'd recommend this candle, but there are better choices out there. Happy Haunting.

Best candle I have ever smelled

Village makes THE best candles. The smell of this Pumpkin Scarecrow is amazing! I love Fall and I always make sure to get this candle from only the Village Company. It burns for such a long time and it burns evenly with the wax pool being perfect. The wax pool has NEVER put out my candle. I have ordered over 7 candles from this company and never once had a problem nor do I expect any problems from this company. The candles have never been melted upon delivery and I buy these year round and also live in Georgia. They make quality candles that are the best smelling candles I have ever come across. I just placed an order for the "Ghost Cemetery" and "Haunted Mansion." I am looking forward to receiving them because I know they will smell great. They smell throughout my entire house, so there's no need to light another candle. Thank you for making awesome candles! Customer for life!

Ghost cemetery smells like syrup

I LOVE Village candles! Black Bamboo and haunted mansion are two of my absolute faves. But I hate food scented candles, and I assumed based on the description that Ghost Cemetary wouldn’t smell like food. I was wrong. I already lit it. I blew it out after 5 mins, and lit my black bamboo to get that sickeningly sweet smell out of here. I guess it will be a good aesthetic decoration, cuz I’m not lighting it again.

Bodenständiger Duft für die dunklere Jahreszeit

"Haunted Mansion" hat es mir wirklich angetan. Der Duft ist beerig, erdig, und hat passend zur dunklen Jahreszeit eine "dunkle" Note. Allerdings passt er auch sehr gut an allen kühlen und verregneten Tagen das ganze Jahr hindurch. Wer "tiefe" Düfte mag, ist sicher sehr gut bedient. Der Duft ist unisex. Hoffentlich legt Village Candle diesen Duft wieder auf.

Cloying scent

The scent is really cloying and permeates everything. if you like a sickly sweet scent, go for this one. Not true to description as there did not appear to be woody scents.
