Cute leash

I got this leash in conjunction with the clip on bag to leash d-ring that carries bags to pick up the dogs messes. It looks very nice, lightweight, made of durable recycled materials. Just like the description says

Now our Ella can really strut her stuff!

We had gotten Ella, our miniature Aussie, the Vera Bradley collar which matches this leash, and she was quite proud of it and eager to show it off to her friends. She soon discovered, however, that with her long coat it didn't show well unless she specifically drew attention to it by holding her head just so. Her first inclination was to have her entire neck area shaved to show off the collar, but I pointed out that with winter coming that might not be a good idea - and in any event, with a shaved neck, the collar might not be the first thing that caught their eye. I offered up the matching leash as an alternative solution, and she jumped at the chance - and she's a good jumper! Sure enough, all of her lady friends are appropriately jealous of her designer accessories, and the Glass Vines pattern is elegant and understated; she no longer has to hide her old, common, PetSmart brand jewelry. The guys seem to like it too, but then the guys have always had a thing for the little cutie! From a more practical standpoint (although she doesn't really care about such trivial things) this is a good, well-made leash. The strap webbing is strong and durable and the hardware is first-rate, with a good sturdy clip and swivel. The medium-weight leash is long, just a little under 6 feet, longer than her old 4-foot leashes, so she can strut out front and doesn't have to be seen with me in my worn-out jeans and old, ratty tennis shoes. I think my feelings are hurt...

Not a Fan For Small Dogs and Here's Why

This leash is about 2ft too long for small/medium (under 15lb dogs), the slack is too much and gives your dog too much room to roam or get in trouble. The second issue is the clasp that you use to connect the leash to the collar or vest is unnecessarily difficult to attach. Really they made this way more difficult than it needs to be. And for that reason, I'm out.

Looks great. Holds strong.

I got this to go with the matching collar. Stitch is modeling both (see photo). I like this leash because it holds tight. I often walk this fur-lady on a pedestrian/bike path. She needs to have a little imposed restraint when bikes go by. This leash is easy to keep around my wrist and choke up on the leash closer to the collar to keep her from impulsively lunging at bikes. It does not have a lot of give which is my preference in a leash. Okay, so it's practical. Yes. We've established that. But look how cute! It matches Stitch's personality and brings me joy!

High quality leash

At first I was pretty sure I was going to not be impressed with a $30 leash but I gotta say it is well worth it. It is softer (padded) than a typical leash with a comfortable handle and a quality cast-type clip. It felt good and solid even for my 80lb mutt.

Vera Bradley has quite a line of products for use with pets, and we've noticed in NYC that pets are the #1 reason that folks start to talk to one another. "Oh, what a cute dog. What's his name?" has now become, "What a nice leash. Where did you get it?" Well crafted, made in Cambodia, this leash comes in three lengths, has a small D-ring below the handle for your dog baggie carrier, and has a strong chromed clasp for the collar. Lightly padded, the leash is comfortable to use and the black/white design is perfect for monochromatic black or white dogs. Our black pug looks great with it as she takes us for a walk.

Wunderbare Geschenkidee

Das Triko ist ein wenig größer als von mir angenommen. Aber es sieht trotzdem noch gut aus. Verarbeitung macht auf den ersten Eindruch einen Super Eindruck. Keine offenen Nähte oder lose Ecken.
