Disappointed - But they Fixed it.

My husband and I bought this phone 6/2022. It has not even been a year and never expected a metal fan to have an issue like this. My husband uses this fan to help him sleep. We installed it with no issues and used it up until yesterday 3/18/2023. My husband was woke from a deep sleep to hear an awful blaring sound. The fan blade randomly broke. Now this is on a free standing wall with nothing under or along side of it. The blade actually snapped in usage. I expect plastic to do this over time as it gets brittle. But a metal fan? My grandfather had a metal fan in his barber shop that lasted for over 20 years. I have never seen a fan do this. I'm glad the casing held as the blade never got air born. ***Update*** I like to give credit where credit is due. I contacted the manufacturer and they are sending me a replacement fan blade in the next 3 days. A company that stands beside their product is all we can ask for. Kudos to the Simple Deluxe company!!!! Your a manufacturer of integrity!!

Great fan and moves quite a bit of air.

5 April 2023: I purchased the 20" version of this fan (2-pack). Seems to work well in my garage and moves air fairly well. The only ding was one of the adjustment knobs on one of the fans was broken. Mounted both in my garage ceiling on a smart plug. These will help during my garage projects in the warmer days. Otherwise, seems to work very well, over the week or so from purchase date.

Powerful!

5 speeds never need to go past 3. Smelled like burning oil first 2 weeks, but totally worth it. No smell left, just great air flow

Moves a lot of air.

A bit noisy. Listening to it now from the next room over. Also something within the housing itself squeaks on occasion. Oddly, giving it a shake usually lessens it temporarily. I believe it's due to a large set screw holding the blades on, with nothing on the other side for balance. This thing moves a LOT of air. I hung it in a medium sized bedroom and never use the top three speeds. I didn't realize the "remote control" was actually a paddle switch, that dangles down. They did provide a recepticle for it that you could mount to a wall or pole. As for household use, I'd highly recommend it for garage, maybe well covered (dry) patio and maybe very high, very large rooms as long as the aesthetics of the paddle switch hanging down and some noise wouldn't bother you. I have ringing in my ears, so kinda enjoy the noise. I'm not fancy and the price was decent, so I'll continue to use in my bedroom. The paddle switch rests on a chest of drawers. I WOULD have liked to have an option to limit the oscillation. It probably oscillates 120°, so in my application spends 50% of the time blowing at walls or otherwise away from where I'd like. I don't use it at all for that reason. Forgot to mention... It came with concrete screws with the other end threaded only. I used lag screws and hit a stud on one side of the mounting bracket. No issues. I might at some point take a piece of oak and fashion a backer board to where all 4 lags are hitting the board, and the board itself lag bolted to the stud.

Moves the air

Definitely moves the air. Low speed is actually fairly high, wish low was a bit lower. Low is a bit on the loud side for what I expected but not so much so that it's awful. Should do the trick in the big shop though.

Very Impressed

Really well packaged. So easy to install, did not even read the instructions. Very quiet and on setting five very powerful. Remote works great but would have happily paid a lot more for one that wasn't wired. Overall it's a great product.

Quite loud, low speed is not really low

If you want wind, you'll have wind, but this is quite loud and the first speed is way overkill. This is very industrial, I might bring it at the factory, because for my garage I feel like this is too much. Quality is decend thought.
