Searched awhile for a good tray

My icemaker broke but I am too broke to buy one right now. As a massive drinker of water on the rocks this felt like the end of the world for me. (First world problems- I know.) I had a few icecube trays that were really difficult to bend to get the ice out. They would break often. I bought these and I found that I do like the sliding covers to keep the trays clean and odors out. You only have to bend it a little and the ice cubes come out fairly easily. Probably due to the sleek, roundish design of the bottom. My only suggestion is that I wish the cubes were a little bigger but that is not a deal breaker for me. I like this product. I would purchase again.

Quality Ice Trays

The ice just slides out after a couple of twist. The reason for the 4 stars because sliding the top on can be difficult, taking off is fine because the water is frozen, sliding it in you can spill the water until you get used to it. Overall great trays, much better then the silicone.

These fill the job of ice cube trays that have a cover. Just not real easy to use, some of the cubes hard to get out. Satisfied, but not completely.

These ice OXO Good Grips ice cube trays are excellent! They've addressed every little headache that comes with your typical basic ice tray. The lid stays put, but comes off easily even out of the freezer. No spillage. Once frozen the cubes are easy to remove, either one or two at a time or all at once. They stack conveniently, and the lids keep your ice out of contact with anything else in the freezer. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Nice Ice Cube Trays BUT

Not as good as the previous version by OXO, which I have been using for over 10 years (maybe 15+) until finally one corner of one of the lids got a small tear in it probably due to using them for such a long time. These, IMO are supposed to be an improved version, but why try to improve something that is already perfect as is? These lids do go on a bit easier, I will admit, but the trays are wider, so take up a tad more space in my freezer. Also, I am finding the cubes very difficult to release (the others popped right out very easily) which is the reason for 3-4 stars instead of 5. The previous version was a 5 star version all the way.

Excellent product

Love these ice cube trays. The lid on top of the tray keeps upur ice fresh. Super slim and easy to store in the freezer. OXO did a great job on this design.

Quality Trays

I used silicone ice cube trays before and I will never get them again as the silicone imparts an awful taste into the ice. These OXO ice cube trays are a bit pricey but worth the money. The cover is adequate enough to help prevent spilling and the ice cubes come out easily. As water expands while becoming ice, I recommend not filling the trays all the way to the top. Also, a slight twist of the tray will loosen the ice cubes from the tray for easy removal. The lids on the trays make it easier to find a place in the freezer without worrying as much about spilling the water. These are the best ice cube trays I'v ever used!

Great ice cube trays!

You get a nice medium-sized ice cube which are easy to remove. I haven’t had trays with a lid before but these work well and easy to stack. Good quality with OXO, as expected.

Best ice cube trays!

Hands down the best ice cube trays I’ve owned. Was sceptical at first due to the price but once I used them they were totally worth it. So easy to take the ice out, and it feels sturdy. I also like the lids as it allows me to stack them in my tiny freezer. I might buy more as small gifts.

Terrific Trays

We have now had this ice cube tray/system for 3 months and use it regularly. Using the twisting motion which is easy as the trays have attached "handles" to twist. The cover which goes over the tray not only provides a stable spot where the next tray rests. It also makes water spillage from the sink to the fridge a non issue. The ice cubes were a little smaller than we we used to. This is because of the shape which help the cubes "pop out" easily. We solved this by bying a third tray. We are impressed

Easy to stack in freezer

These OXO ice trays are great if you want to stack them to save freezer space. They are also good at keeping the smell of foods from affecting the taste. One the downside, these trays are much firmer than their original form so twisting the tray to remove the ice is not going to work. Using hot water or letting sit on the counter will remove the ice cubes. Also, the cubes are smaller/shallower than their predecessor which makes me have to use more cubes at a time. I would not buy this new version again. The original OXO ice trays were superior.
