Perfect fit for Troybilt Log Splitter
I have a Troybilt TB 27 LS log splitter that I bought new in 2012 from Lowes. It has been flawless until last week. I had an oil drip from the Detent cap on the control valve and the Detent feature hasn't been effective for a year or 2, not sure the problems are related. Also the retract mechanism was locking up. So, rather than rebuilding the control valve at this time , I bought this #718-04706P valve. It fit PERFECTLY. All the tapped holes were the correct size and location as the original equipment. Good as Plug- n- Play. It seems to work great, so I'm ready for the next tree to fall and convert it to fire wood. I would definitely buy again, as of now.

Great fit !!
I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this valve because of the reviews of the hydraulic lines not bolting up right. But all the part numbers were the same, so I bought it for my 2012 Craftsman 27 ton wood splitter. All the fittings fit, bolt holes were the same, and I am pleased with this valve.

Not correct part
Was not the correct part, it does not match the numbers it says that it does online! They accepted the return, but buyer beware it may fit the outside of log splitter, but the interior pieces do not!

This Valve Has 5/8" Top And Bottom Ports
ATTENTION: This product has 5/8" ports at the top and bottom(!) I had tried 2 different log splitter valves and both had 9/16" ports at top and bottom. Both were too small and I struggled to get running w/ adaptor fittings. This one is a fit for those odd ball log splitter owners like me, which is a Troy Bily 27 Ton log splitter from apparently 2007 or so. Just FYI, was plug and play and did not include handle but old one fit perfect. Thanks much,

Fit but doesn’t work!
The control valve looks exactly like the one on my splitter but it doesn’t function. The lever doesn’t stay back in the retract position requiring you to hold it back to get the ram to return.
