Great Air Brush Paints - Listings Aren't Always Accurate
The first thing to note about buying Vallejo paints from Amazon is that for some reason the listings are not all accurate, which leads to confusion on what you are actually buying. It appears that some listings have the wrong picture and / or description, so what you see or read about may not actually be the information for the set you chose by the title. You can also find different descriptions depending on whether you are using a mobile device or browser to view the item. I can often see the colors in the set listed in the description on the mobile app, but never if I am using a browser, but the mobile listings are not always accurate either. That said, every purchase I have made I have received the TITLED item, regardless of picture or description. I suggest downloading a catalog from Vallejo which includes their colors at time of publication and the sets they offer with their contents clearly listed, then buy them BY TITLE from Amazon. So far, this has worked for me for several purchases. As far as the paints go, I was an old fashioned modeler, I insisted on using the old enamel products for years, but they were getting harder to find, and I hated the amount of waste I had if I used an airbrush by the time I used an eye dropper to extract and thin the paint for spraying. Not to mention that thinning the enamels would often times cause a slight change in the actual color that laid down on the model, so if you later did any touch up by brush, or a different coat, it could lead to different shades of paint. So I ended up getting into a few acrylic paints and washes over time for shades I couldn't find any other way, but then I had to make sure everything was fully cured or sealed before swapping from enamel to acrylic or I would end up with a nasty mess and ruined model. This all led me to trying this "Model Air" line by Vallejo, and I am sold! They are so easy to spray without the need to thin them down. If I am doing a large surface I will use some Flow Improver to keep the air brush from drying up on me, but I use the recommend 2 drops of improver to 10 drops paint, so it doesn't change the color at all and is very easy to duplicate. The dropper bottles are awesome, I have MUCH less waste, no more lids drying on the bottle either since they clean easy and and are plastic so the don't 'glue' themselves together. They also dry very fast, so buy the time I am done with the first coat on the entire project the first pieces are typically ready for the second coat. Lastly, they brush well for touch up or small areas too. I will also note that they have handy storage solutions that work great and help keep your hobby area organized, just be careful when putting them together. And their Primers are great and easy to spray through an airbrush too.

Read colors included do not go by picture
Pictured set is for some other paint set not Allied Forces WWII each of which contain different colors. Be sure to read the colors included very carefully ( thought I did. oops) needed the colors shown in pictured item. never used these paints before I am sure they are fine will be ordering the Building Set Model Air (16) 17mil set 71-192 that should get me the colors I need. Not giving five stars due to incorrect picture 06/13/2022. Sheerness rating of 3 stars because I have not used the WWII Allied Model Air Paint yet. Ease of Use rating 5 stars Its paint how hard can it be. Value for money rating 3 stars I bought something I really did not want don't get me wrong I will use these colors now that I have them. WWII Allied colors set 71-180- Olive Green (71007), Duck Egg Green (71009), Dark Green (71012), Gunship Green (71014), US Dark Green (71016), Russian Green (71017), US Flat Brown (71026), Sand Yellow (71028), Dark Earth (71029), Hull Red (71039), Olive Drab (71043), US Light Gray (71045), USA Gray (71047), Medium Sea Gray (71049), Barley Gray (71051) and Dark Gray Blue (71054).

Still good paint.
I received the 71.178 and the box was tagged "Basic Colors". No where was it listed anything "military" or "Allied". But it was the basic military colors. The olives, and greys and browns. I could have done without the "basic" black, white, red and yellow, and for this price for such a small amount of cheap to make paint, I wish they included more greens and browns. Typical Vallego. They are small bottles, so your big Tamiya tank, you'll need to thin to stretch it out. And thin you have to do because I don't care if the call it "Model Air", in one of those cheap battery operated rechargeable airbrushes, they just do not have power to put it on without thinning a touch. My Paasche with the compressor blows it on great, but I still thin to stretch it out. It brushes on OK also on small pieces, but it might take two coats. I just wish at this price, they would put a much thicker paint blend in that small bottle and let me thin it to my needs.

Great set of paints
These paints are great! Colors are nice and applies evenly. I have a 0.5 airbrush and sprays good right out of the bottles. Some paints may need to be thinned depending on your airbrush capability and set up.

not as described
received my package today. What I received is not what was written in the product description. Description says 16 different highly pigmented Model Air acrylic colors, each in 17ml plastic eye dropper bottles: Olive Green (71007), Duck Egg Green (71009), Dark Green (71012), Gunship Green (71014), US Dark Green (71016), Russian Green (71017), US Flat Brown (71026), Sand Yellow (71028), Dark Earth (71029), Hull Red (71039), Olive Drab (71043), US Light Gray (71045), USA Gray (71047), Medium Sea Gray (71049), Barley Gray (71051) and Dark Gray Blue (71054). I got a basic colors package. I never order anything from just looking at the picture as the item description is exactly a description of the item. I then opened the box to find paint all over. apparently the cap on one of the colors was not on tight and it spilled all over. Expected more from a vendor with a 79% 5star rating.

a great buy
It is a great buy, has rich colors, and has no issues with my airbrushes. Only thing when I received the kit about half of the white paint leaked out inside the box.
