Works well but 1/8” too big for some tent poles
I used this 1/8” shock cord to replace the worn-out elastic within my tent poles. I have a small two-person backpacking tent (Marmot Tungsten 2P). The existing elastic was much thinner, maybe 1/16”, likely for weight reduction by Marmot. I’d assume the 1/8” would work ok for larger family sized tents, but can’t confirm that. I was JUST BARELY able to make the 1/8” work. The knots, pulled as tightly as possibly, just barely fit through the poles. For a backpacking style tent I’d recommend downsizing to 1/16”. The product itself works well and has a ton of stretch in it. Recommend taking a flame to cut/frayed ends.

Great Quality
Excellent product! Fixed my tired and broken shock cords in my fiberglass tent poles. Better than original cord. Don't hesitate. Great quality and price. Tip for installing. Feed cord through from the non metal ferrel side. Did not need a fish wire to install.

Heavy duty for tent poles
Works well but could have gone down a size for tent poles

Great replacement shock cord
The quality is really good, used it to fix a few tent poles that had less quality cord. I used the extra to add a stretch net to my backpack too. Added a picture of the batting cage which had the broken tent poles I fixed.

Fantastic so far
I replaced the cord on my paddleboard and my wife's kayak about a month or two ago. We go in the saltwater multiple times a week and the cords are still holding up really well.

Saved my tent
I have a Coleman 9' X 7' Highline tent. For those that don't know what that is, it's because I was using it before many of you were born. It's similar to the Sundome tent. I was using it for the last time because the shock cord in the poles had stretched soooo far that I could no longer put it together. Tried finding new poles to no avail. Then I found this. The Coleman tents use a 1/8" hole through their poles. This fit perfect. In the nine section poles (11') I stretched the cord about 3 ft longer to give tension. In the five section poles (6'), I stretched it an additional 1-1/2 ft. Now they are like new. The tent isn't destined for the garbage anymore and I now have another fully functional tent. Note: I tried to pull it through the sections with a coat hanger and different sized wire to no avail. Then I just fed it through the holes in the sections and it worked great.

Used to replace elastic in tent poles
Very nice that all my poles feel like brand new, but this rope was a little thicker than the original so it was a little bit difficult getting it in but maybe because it’s thicker it won’t wear out like the originals.

Works great in MSR Hubba and similar lightweight tent poles
Bought this to replace original elastic cord in an MSR Hubba one-person tent which failed (went limp) after only two years. Compared to the original pole cordage, the Evans cordage seems a little stiffer and has stronger pull force, but it works fine and fits inside the poles no problem. I recommend making replacement cords a little bit longer than the originals to compensate for the extra force. Otherwise seems to be a great product, is easy to work with, and is fantastic value compared to MSR repair kit which costs 3X for hardly any cordage and seems to be out of stock everywhere.

It worked for me.
I used this bungee shock cord to re-string tent poles. It seems the right product for this. Now we'll see how many years it lasts.

Perfect!
Good quality. I used to replace old, stretched out shock cord and it matched OEM cord perfectly.

Fix MEC wanderer tent
Used this to replace the shock cord in an MEC tent. Worked perfectly. Check the MEC website for a very handy video by a user on how to get the cord through - after watching it took less than 15 minutes to complete.
