YES. You need this.

Not only is it perfect for keeping my dog out of the cat's litter, but it looks great. My cat is a bit of a chunk-a-roo, and still had plenty of room to fit through the hole to get in. Put a nice plant on top, it's all I needed. Quality is great, but per other reviews, very difficult to build. 5 stars!

Perfect to keep dogs out!

I have three cats and I have a German shepherd who kept getting eating the forbidden kitty rocha. I bought a stupid house looking litter box that had entrance that appeared to be dog proof. However this dog is persistent for her favorite midnight snack and was able to get her whole face in there and eat off the edges. I even moved it facing the wall with a small enough area for the cats but she still was able to get in there. I had tried top entry litter boxes and she was able to stick her head down there too. I spent weeks trying to figure out the best dog proof litter box solution and was about to buy the ugly litter box. I read reviews for this and knew she wasn’t going to be able to get into this but was worried about the size of this. The litter box house I bought was massive. About the same footprint of this but sooo ugly, and about the same price ????. If you’re having trouble with a dog eating treats this is perfect. I used the top entry litter box I already had but without the lid and it fits perfectly. I’m debating if I should buy another cabinet or get a different bench style so my cats have options for if they want to jump in or walk in. But I might just get another one of these because it’s amazing.

Love this kitty house

I have had several cat houses for our litter boxes. This one is by far my favorite! It was easy for my very large (18lbs) kitty to start using. It is completely dog proof. No more tootsie roll treats for the. I love that the litter barely tracks. I put a litter catcher mat on the inside shelf to trap the litter when he jumps up and it works so well. It's tall and I can feed him on top. The dogs can't get to that food either. It looks super cute in our laundry room.

Dog proof !!

Only enclosure that I have found to actually keep our dog out. It’s cute but not super sturdy. So put it somewhere it doesn’t need to get moved. Highly recommend a mat of some kind cut for top shelf. It’s slippery so when car comes out of hole there’s no where to grip

Wiping it down with anything slightly damp will pull off the color no matter how gentle you are.

It's nice so you don't have to view the litter box and helps contain the smell of a #2 to one area vs filling the room if it was completely open. It looks nice and feels sturdy enough to trust animals jumping on and off of. It is not super quick putting together by yourself but it's doable. I did it! It is not weatherproof in any sense of the word. I can't even wipe it down without the paint rubbing off. I am super gentle and only lightly mist the cloth and it still does. I am disappointed in this aspect because I wanted something that will look really nice but over time it's going to look more and more faded which made me take 3 stars away. That is mostly the point of this thing afterall and for $127 that's asking for a bit much.... Functionality is good though! But if you're looking for something that isn't an eye sore, this will only last until the paint comes off. (Still need to scoop every day because it's not good for the kitties lungs to go into a smelly confined space, so if you're looking at it to avoid scooping just get yourself an automatic litter box. Don't make your kitties step in their own filth every day it will make them sick eventually. I know some people do! tsk tsk)

Big and sturdy!

This product is definitely big enough and very sturdy. The thing I do not like is I have a Jumbo pan in it and there is still room around the sides of the box. The shelf is to low for a high sided box, and because of the extra space, not all of my furbabies' product gets in the box. I have to put pads below the box to catch excess moisture. The cabinet also retains smell. Even with scooping 2x day, it retains that odor. Cats still track litter onto shelf and outside box, but dogs can not get to box. Cheaper and easier to just buy some top entry boxes.

Arrived damaged but usable

A star off for the damage. Overall this is a good solution for keeping little dogs out of the litterbox but I am disappointed that it arrived damaged. I would have opted to exchange it for another one but the box being damaged and the weight of it makes it easier to just stick that side of the cabinet in the corner. I wish I could have exchanged just the one panel instead.

Strong, Heavy Duty, Keeps dogs out, easy for large cats to use

I have a small space and limited on where to hide my litter box to keep dogs out of it, This has helped me 1-Million percent! Took me awhile to put together, I recommend turning on a Netflix show. Once its put together its sturdy, I keep mine in a corner away from the wall, my cats are between 11 pounds and 15 pounds, I didn't think they would fit in the hole but they do with a lot of wiggle room, they have no problem jumping in it, the door is held shut with a very strong magnet, the second shelf has plenty of room for a food bowl, my dogs can't get into this cat fort to surf for poo no more, I am happy with it, its strong enough that I placed a 3 story cat tree on top of it for my cats to use and its holding up great with no wiggling or wobbling! I highly recommend and my cats love it!

Not practical

I bought this product back in 2017, as we moved in to a smaller flat and there wasnt much space. I have 2 large persian cats. Overall the product is handy and it saves space however there are afew technical problems I encountered; 1- there is only one entry when the door is shut and your cat has to be able to jump, in my case my cats are getting older and they are lazy also, so after finding out they cant really jump and they ended up spoilling on bed, I had to keep the door open at all times, which brings me to the second point. 2-If the door is open at all times there will be a smell! The cupboard is in the toilet close to front door and as you walk in to the house there is always a strong smell of litter. 3- As you know the more cats you have the more litter box you need, in my case I have to have 3 at least. I had to really look for 3 small litter box on amazon to be able to fit two at the bottom and one on top, but since they are smaller be prepared for cleanning them more often! 4- The last point is more of a product fault, overtime I have noticed raises on the base wood and the coating is starting to come off as shown in the pic. I woud only recommond this product if you are tight on space, otherwise for the price of it and the quality of it , I would say no.
