Only one side heated
We really like this, but we were a little disappointed to realize only one half of it was heated.

Great “Snuggle area for ONE cat
I chose this because I needed a cat house that was not too tall. Inside, the length and height is perfect for ONE adult cat or 2/3 kittens. Same goes for cats lounging on the top. I got it for my outdoor cat. It is placed in a protected area where it will not get wet. It is not waterproof. It doesn’t say that it is so I did not expect it to be. Other houses were too tall, so I opted for this. I love it. You take it out and it opens right up. Very easy. I laid the separating partition flat on the bottom inside (I have no use for that, so I used it for more sturdiness) and then I placed the sturdy bottom on top of that and then I placed the padded bottom on top of that, and then I placed the snuggly warming blanket that I had purchased inside. Then I put the top on. I set it outside in the protected area where my outdoor kitty likes to go. She immediately went in one side investigating and then came out the other side. I think she likes it. It gives her a warm place to be on chilly nights here in South Florida and a soft snuggly place to sleep at night. This is perfect for indoors. We shall see how it holds up outside in the protected area where it will not get wet. I have no need for the heating pad. No place to plug it in outside. It is not much use anyways because unfortunately, the heating pad barely gets warm. On the plus side you don’t ever have to worry about your pet getting too hot. The heating pad is designed to ONLY keep one end (1/2) of the cat house warm. It is the size of half the length of the house. Basically a small cat/kitten could curl up on it or half of a large cat would be warm, LOL. What I would do is simply plug this in inside somewhere, place it inside a pillow case then place it in a cat bed to let your kitty lay on it inside the house. No need to worry, it barely heats up. It would be perfect for a bearded dragon, snake, or any other reptile that needs to keep it’s belly warm.

Only for 2 cats if they get along
I have to buy a 2nd one because the larger cats take up the whole inside. I thought duplex meant completely separate compartments, but it isn't separate. It just has a pass-through. That's not a duplex, it 2 rooms and a doorway. However, I like it for easy assembly and the cats seem to like it. I'm reading it's only heated on one side. How is that good for 2 cats who need warmth? Also, the navy one which is out of stock is $15 cheaper. Ugghhh. I am just trying to keep geriatric and senior cats comfortable and it seems product description could be better.

Our Cats are very happy outdoor cats
These warming cat houses were easy to assemble, move and the cats (outdoor barn cats) took to them quickly. Whenever I went outside, and picked up a cat, I could tell they had just come out of one of the houses because they were really warm on their belly. Sure helps with the colder days.

Not for two cats
This unit is way too small to house two cats. And the divider has an opening which defeats its purpose

Very easy to set up. A dash of catnip added, cats moved right in! There isn’t an on/off switch for heating pad component. Bought two of these and overall satisfied with the value. I like that they are sturdy, easily accessible, and look east to clean.

Quick and easy
Very easy to set up. Not big enough for two cats to stay comfortably . I have two, one for each cat and blocked off one door with cardboard. I use them in an unheated garage in northern Alberta and the cats seem to be fine with the limited heat available. If they get cold they cuddle but otherwise stick to their own spaces.

Too small for 2 cats Had to remove the middle piece
It's does not see to be hot enough. It's cardboard and not very sturdy! And, it isn't very warm for outdoor cats. They look at it and sit on top but won't go inside! This defeats the reason why we bought it in the first place.
