I liked the harness we ordered the horse size for a littler horse because you can always punch holes but we didn't need to it worked out great. However, we pulled through some deeper dirt and the buckles that attach to the tugs pulled through and the tug on one side came off. Stronger buckles would have made them better quality but for the price it worked great. Most people may not pull through the deep sand the way we did but in case you do you may have to replace the buckles that attach to the tugs on the breast collar.

Good enough for me!
Quality leather harness. The buckles are a little tight with some of the straps but I think that the leather will soften with oiling. Crupper is way to long but leather is easily adjusted with a hole punch. Also had to increase the size of the holes on the traces. The bridle is quite intricate - cannot fit my donkey's big ears into it but thats ok, I know it was made for the smaller ears of a pony. I will probably dissemble some of the bridle to make it more simple and better fitting. Overall very happy and overall it fits my small standard donkey well with some minor adjustments (10 hands).

Description does not match actual product
I purchased this harness because it stated "small pony". A pony would be classified as a horse 34" up to 14.2 hands. A miniature horse is classified as under 34". That said, I figured it would be safe to assume that Tough1 and the tack shop selling this product would be aware of this simple fact about ponies vs. miniature horses and that a "small pony" harness would be for a horse over 34" but most likely under 10 hands. The description also provided a few details about the bridle and the girth. The Bridle was described as being adjustable up to 36". That is definitely not the case. The bridle only adjusts to 30". You could squeeze in 2" more by punching holes but there is only barely room for 1 more hole on each side which would get you to 32". My small pony is 36" tall and this was not even close to fitting him. It was all far too small. The bridle needed to be adjustable as described and it would have fit. The girth does go up to 58" but there is barely room to add more length by punching holes so don't expect to get much more girth space if needed. The traces were about 2' too short on each side. The overcheck was about 8" too short and the breeching was about 10" too short. This is definitely made for a miniature horse not a small pony as described. Now there is some nice things about this harness as long as you buy the right size for the right sized horse. The leather is very soft and quality. It is a well made set though I wish they would have used brass hardware. The overcheck though too short does come off so can be replaced or removed if not needed which is nice. The lines are very thin leather and the traces are only single ply leather which of course is not very durable.

Great fit! Better quality than expected!
Great harness for the price! I wasn’t expecting much in the way of quality since I was shopping for the least expensive harness I could find (without having to buy nylon) and I was very pleasantly surprised! It will be a perfect training harness for my pony to use and abuse while we learn the ropes of driving. It fits him perfectly, which I was not expecting because he has a little pony body with a cob sized head and I anticipated having to purchase a larger sized bridle just to mix and match a fit for him, but nope, everything about this harness is great! I would not recommend this harness for heavy use or a show ring, but for basic neighborhood driving it’s good to go. I’m the pics I have the harness all connected to itself because we’re still working on ground driving and he hasn’t been hooked up to a cart yet.

Reign clips were missing as well as pole loops. I had to buy the parts locally.
Parts do not match picture. There are no snaps on end of reigns as shown in picture. There were no pole loops. I had to purchase these parts local.

Beautiful leather for a design project
I didn’t buy this harness to use on a horse, but for a design project for a client; used the surcingle and girth to create a leather-framed mirror, with plenty of nice thick, stitched leather leftover for several more decor pieces. I was happy to find this product at a more reasonable price than I saw elsewhere.

Horse Harness
I purchase this harness for a horse that is 15. 3 hands but it was too small. So I still need to contact the seller to try to return it. I like the quality and it came in quickly. Unfortunately it's too small for my horse. I am going to see if they have a larger size.

Better buckles
First time using the new harness today and had an issues with the buckles binding the way this one did in the pictures. Would recommend putting better tougher buckles on it so you don't have this issue down the road with other customers. Other than that issues it is a nice harness

Great quality but fits smaller than advertised
It says it will to fit up to 46 inch pony. Sadly my 44 inch pony is much too round for this harness. I was pleased with the quality though and would order the next size up but they don't offer it.

It Came earlier then the estimated arrival day! BUT the Bridle is a little big.. But I just punched a few new holes in it. Still a tad big, but the rest is great! All of the straps are thick and good quality! I would definitely recommend it!
