Keep sake when done

Love the pattern made it for my new Grandson, waiting for him to arrive soon. I've been buying these for years made one for all my 3 children, seem as the years have past the thread has gotten terrible to work with, all the thread is place on a cardboard with holds on it, different hole for each color, and big mess at the bottom. This needs to improve other wise its a nice keep sake when done.

Not for beginners to this type of project

I have a few issues with this "kit". First of all, it did not come with all the supplies list on the enclosed supply list. Nearly all colors, except the for the colors with just one strand, were missing strands...most close to half of what was supposed to be included in the kit. This is extremely frustrating as I purchased a kit to avoid trips to the craft store for embroidery threads, or supplementing with supplies I may have on hand from past projects. Neither will be avoidable now. The other large issue I have with this kit is that the printing is subpar at best. The ink is missing in many areas around the quilting stitches and has large gaps between crosses that should be butt up against each other. An inexperienced crafter with quilted projects would not be able to do this kit. If you have not already done this type of project, I beg you, find another brand, this is not a good one to start with. I have done dozens of these projects and this is not for a beginner.

ADORABLE KIT! I LOVE IT!

It's a wonderful kit. I had read previous reviews about lack of thread, so I purchased the DMC floss at my fabric store and so far it looks awesome. Yes, it is something that takes time to do, but that is where putting LOVE into making it comes in. Exactly as described, actually even BETTER than I had hoped! Please, don't let the naysayers steer you away from this kit. If you plan, follow instructions, it's adorable. Matching the colors that are included on the scheme with the thread that's included, well, that could be a challenge. Just get DMC, which they provide numbers for, and get that instead. For about $5 at a fabric store, it makes this much easier to do. Oh, and while I have done many projects, it's been many years, so I consider myself in the novice group now.

beautiful blanket

this is a beautiful blanket. the image is very clear. the thread comes presorted ,in order, which I love. My only issue is the symbols used for the colors. they use several triangles pointing in different directions. this makes it easy to mix up which color is needed. but that is my only complaint. i love everything else about it. The pattern uses a lot of colors for shading which will make the picture even more beautiful, but will take me longer to stitch.

Not the best quality

The design is cute and the colors are fun, but I was disappointed in the quality, even for Tobin brand. I have never liked their quilts as much as Dimensions, but this one was particularly disappointing. The stamped design was messed up by the quilting in the fabric. The ink appeared to be rubbed away in places and was distorted so that the crosses to stitch are uneven. Since the entire design shifts around the quilting stitches, there really is no good way to fix it on your own. I will probably finish the quilt, but am disappointed that the finished product won’t look very neat.

Check it carefully before you invest time in working on it.

Quilt had a small rip in the middle of it. Can probably stitch over it; but certainly not first quality.
