Just what I needed for my "lazy" boob.
Ordered this when it started feeling like my electric machines wasn't doing much for my underachieving boob. I was very excited to get this and try it. I was not disappointed. Easy to use and clean. I pulled more out with this pump than I did with my electric pump. My "lazy" boob has never been much of an over producer but I got about an ounce and half from it versus what I was getting with the other pump I was using.

My favorite!
I have this one and the Medela, and I LOVE this Phillips pump WAY more! Even though it doesn’t have a “letdown mode” I just do some rapid, shallow pumps to help trigger letdown. I really like the optional, soft flange insert too. Love this pump! Worth the money!

Easy to use
Love this soo much. It’s simple and easy to use and most importantly Effective. When I’m done my breast is empty which is awesome.

Way better than expected
After reading the reviews my expectations weren’t too high but still wanted to try it myself and I’m very happy with the performance so far. Other than having quite a few parts to disassemble to wash its actually a really good manual pump, east to use and good suction very gentle suction.

Best pump by far
I have about four different kinds of pumps and this is by far my favorite. It's comfortable, easy, and portable. I put mine in my diaper bag and take it everywhere with my just in case!

Love it
Love the fact this pump hooks up to the bottles my kiddo uses just wish that the flange was deeper not so shallow. But really enjoy this one better than my Mandela hand pump.

Wish I had one on day one!
I had to start pumping when my newborn's glucose dropped in the hospital and he was still figuring out breast feeding. After receiving a bottle, he refused to work that hard for food for the first few months. I have used 3 different electric pumps, plus the hospital grade one (while in the hospital), changes in flange sizes, mix-and-match pump set-ups. I've had so many issues with pumping and would have to double-pump for 40+ minutes to completely empty and was barely increasing my supply. I had tried every setting and combination of pump-setup imaginable. And oh my goodness I wish I had just had this pump!... With the little hand-held pump, I can control exactly the suction I need for how long I need it without having bright lights or obnoxious sounds from some pump while trying to change the settings and waking the baby up or having to go hide somewhere in the house because the pump is too loud. I empty within 15 min on each side. I have transitioned to breast feeding but still use this pump and always have it on hand. It is great for middle-of-the-night feeds when he passes out after one side. This pump is so quiet. I have no idea what other people are talking about with the crazy sounds. This pump is made of silicone and hard plastic. So I make sure everything is clean and completely dry when putting it together, and I've never had an issue. The cover for the pump makes it great for travel or quick storage, and the pieces are all extremely easy to clean compared to all other pumps I've used. I use it with Avent glass bottles, and the combo is fantastic. If you are about to have a baby, put this in your go-bag!!! I wish someone would have told me that!

Bad Option for Exclusive Pumpers
I have been exclusively pumping for about 6 months now and I've used 4 different pumps. In general, I think I speak for a lot of women when I say the pumping experience is an unpleasant one, but some of these companies have got to be pulling some kind of prank on mothers. For this pump in particular, I actually like it quite a bit. The parts are the easiest to clean of all the pumping parts I've used. The flanges are silicon and among the most comfortable for my nipples. The suction is good and my settings are remembered. I like all of that, but it has a few flaws. The flanges don't screw on tight. They are either screwed on 100% of the way, or they're loose. If you nudge them slightly, they come loose. That makes it a little more difficult to wear them while doing other things. The bottles have a ledge on the inside that collects milk that I'd rather give to my baby. It also makes it more awkward to pour milk if you're actually trying to empty the bottle where you might spill some if you aren't careful. The tubes are made of a silicon that every single piece of dust CLINGS to. They need washed constantly, just because of the dust that sticks to them. These flaws aren't even dealbreakers though. Like I said, the experience in general isn't a pleasant one, so some problems are to be expected. What makes me extremely angry and disappointed with this product is that they actually expect you to pay about $160 for an extra set of parts through their website. That has to be a joke. Thats almost the price of the pump itself. The only thing I can think is that they are pricing their products for insurance companies or something because that is absolutely insane. There is no way it costs enough to manufacture those parts to justify that price point. It blows my mind. I'm not buying the extra parts. When these ones wear out, I'll find something else.

I LOVE this pump
I absolutely love this pump. I had been searching for a manual pump and had been looking into madela and other brands, but a $50-$70 pump, plus I would need to buy smaller flanges (add another $20-$30) and I was getting really discouraged. $100 for a manual pump??? I found this and I was a bit apprehensive about this flange that said it could adapt to different nipple sizes. But oh my. It works SO well and is SO comfortable. I think the handle could be a little more comfortable, but as a secondary/ on the go pump (not as a "8x a day regular pump") it's amazing. I'm so happy I went with this one.

Wow way better than expected…AMAZING!
Used the Medela pump for my first baby, and found it so time consuming. Thought I would try this one with my second baby. Wanted something more simplistic, portable and wow this is amazing. Puts to shame the $200+ Medela electric pump. I pump twice the amount in half the time using this portable one. Just so impressed! Do not hesitate to buy, it’ll make your pumping so much easier! I just can’t rave enough about this little gadget.

Great value item without complicated gimmicks!
Simple, yet functional pump. It does what it says on the tin. Made of solid-quality silicone. Easy to use and super-easy to clean afterward. Works flawlessly with the AVENT bottles. It is a bit tiring to pump using hand for a prolonged period of time, but the electric versions are way too expensive and far too much gimmicky.

Perfect !!
I am a first time mom. I found this pump very easy to use during my night time pumping hours. I did use electric pumps too. But I found manual pump especially this one more easy and less painful.

Not for exclusive breastfeeding mothers
Avent pump is good & easy to use. Parts are easy to dislocate & wash. Consider only if one needs to do occasional pumping. The flange is soft & flexible making it easy to hold grip. On scale of 1-5, suction is 3 We need to hold grip of breast from one side & pumping it from other side.
