Great product
Super comfy chair, a little annoying putting back in the bag but overall satisfied.

Poorly made
First time my 100 pound wife sat on the chair, Threads started popping.

More expensive and less well designed than competing options
We own a camping rocking chair made by Rio that we absolutely adore, and we fight over it when out in the wilderness, so we jumped at the chance to pick up a second option so we'd both have one to enjoy. This chair is okay, and if you're new to the concept you'll probably think this is great, but we think most of the ways it's different from the Rio chair we know and love are a downgrade. Setup was the worst part of this product and is definitely responsible for one of the deducted stars. As other reviewers have noted, the back brace bars are super hard to get into place and required nearly all of our strength to install, so getting the chair assembled was an exercise in frustration. The side bars were pre-inserted even though the instructions said to insert them; it might have been nice if the back brace could have been somehow installed at the factory too. The webbing on the back appears to be intended to be adjustable, but we were unable to figure out how to adjust it either. On the pro side, it does seem fairly sturdy once assembled. It's got a wide base that sits firmly on the ground, and the seat bucket is large enough to accommodate most folks comfortably. On the con side, this is a heavy chair - moreso than our other camping hammock chair by quite a bit. There's no headrest or head support, which we found we missed... and more egregiously, there's no cupholder. Are you really camping without a cupholder armrest full of a frosty beverage? Value is questionable here, given the high pricetag. It's not a particularly premium feeling chair; the bag is adequate but unbranded and generic. Some of the webbing junction points came pre-frayed, giving us some concerns about overall longevity of the chair over the years. We're glad to have a second hammock chair and will use and enjoy this now that the frustration of assembly is behind us, but there are better and cheaper options out there.

Very comfortable chair, but there is a learning curve to setup.
This is a pretty unique portable chair. I have plenty of folding chairs, but I've never seen anything quite like this one before. It is SUPER comfortable! Setup is kind of a pain. It took me a good 10 minutes to figure out how to fully set it up the first time. The directions are not particularly helpful, since the pictures are so small. Once it is set up, it is great. Very high quality build as well. It is pretty heavy, so I doubt you would want to take this with you backpacking. But great for taking camping, sporting events, bbqs, etc. As for value...at time of review, retail is $100, discounted to $80. Honestly, I wouldn't pay $100 for it. $80 is kind of a stretch for what it is. Just my opinion. All that said, it is a great chair and will get a lot of use. If you have a purpose for a chair like this, I do recommend giving it a shot!

Comfortable, gently swing myself to sleep
I'm a hammock man and live to stretch out and take a sleep session in my hammock whenever I get the chance. I was curious if this chair would fill the void when the weather keeps me from lounging between the trees and to my surprise the Hammock Chair is comfortable and I'm able to snooze for a short while in it but I really enjoy the swinging when relaxing. I set it outside with my patio heater when it's not windy cold this winter which is in my opinion the added bones, grab it, set, and sit in no time. It is well made and very comfortable definitely recommended.

Heavy, middling comfort, fiddly assembly…but seems durable and some may like it
I really wanted to love this chair. The thought of it sounded great. Similar portability to a regular folding chair and comfort of a hammock. However, the actual experience isn’t great for me. First, this chair is heavy. If you have to carry it any distance, be ready to haul a pretty heavy piece of kit. The assembly is fiddly. The actual base extends easily. But the hammock assembly requires the insertion of 2 bars on the sides of the chair and then 2 cross braces on the back. Those cross braces require some pretty good strength to install. I’m a pretty big and strong guy and getting them in took a bit of muscle. Then there’s a strap to adjust. The comfort of the chair is ok. I think it would be good with your feet up. However, with feet on the ground, it’s not particularly comfortable. It presses against the thighs and it leans a bit forward. I would prefer more backward lean to it (which is what you get if you put your feet up). Quality seems very good. The frame, the materials, etc are good quality and this chair will likely last a while. So, it’s a tough one. Some may find this chair to be 4 or maybe even 5 stars…for me, the aggregation of issues brings it down to a 3 star product overall.

Nice chair, difficult to assemble
The chair is quite comfortable to sit in, I can swing it like a hammock. The base is very sturdy and easy to fold. However, the chair itself is quite hard to assemble. The instructions weren’t very clear so it was hard to figure out some steps. There are two cross bars you need push to the four corners in back. You’ll have to bend it in order to fit in the corners. The bars are very hard to bend and it took 2 people; one to bend the bar and another to push it to the corner. The chair seems to be holding up so far with my weight but I can’t help but feeling like the fabric can rip at any moment because it seems rather thin. The chair is not that easy to fold back like it was claimed; the base is very easy to fold but the chair itself is hard to fold back because that would require removing the cross bars in the back, which would take the strength of two people to push back in. It’s overall a nice chair but it’s not as easy to use as it looks. It’s better to use at a permanent spot instead of to take with on a trip

Coco’s Conclusion: Decent
We do a lot of outdoor activities and have a lot of barbecues. I got this chair so we can set it up for guests or ourselves quickly. For me, the chair is fairly comfortable but getting it set up is not easy. It does come in a nice case which is nice for portability.
