Works great!
My husband works outside and gets ticks this time of year. He had a very tiny one on his chest and this pulled the whole thing right out!

FANTASTIC
I hate ticks. I’ve never been able to remove them cleanly with tweezers, while my SO is only a bit better at it- and that’s on a cooperative human. Pulling them off of uncooperative canines was even worse! I finally said “screw it” a couple weeks ago after a triple tick removal incident where NONE of them came off cleanly and I’m still dealing with the aftermath infections. CDC says not to use tick removal devices, or twist to remove etc etc, but I’d finally had enough and found this product- I only wish I’d bought it sooner. Only one test so far, but it removed a dug-in adult tick from the scalp of a very wiggly and tired toddler so holy crap that’s a helluva proof of concept. Clean removal, tick was VERY much alive still. Now we can send it off for testing to make sure it didn’t have anything dangerous! It converted a lifelong Oklahoman who saw it in action from tweezers to Twisters. Only downside: with clean removals the adult tick being VERY much alive means it WILL try to crawl up the nearest living thing which in this case was the arachnophobic aunt holding the Tick Twister. 5 Stars for product effectiveness, 0 stars for not including some temporary common sense. Get on that please, not all of us have that and the lack thereof led to my screaming like I was in a horror movie which sort of undid the cool factor of my success.

If your animal gets ticks buy this
After using tweezers for years I decided to try a tool designed for ticks and I do not regret it. I use these on an outdoor cat that I take care of a d it makes the job so much easier, may even save her life. I promise you will not regret buying these.

Read this to make your tick removal life easier..this is the tick tool to get
I have used this on ticks and dogs with great results on both. Much better than a tweezer or just pulling. TIP - When you use this or other similar tools... - This says too twist and pull, don't, just steady pulling pressure ( like 30 seconds to a minute plus, let the tick back herself out.) - Keep a plastic bag handy and put in freezer. Tape is ok if you don't plan on testing for disease. - Have a glove for one hand if you can. If not is a stick or something similar later. - Push down on the skin with the tip of the tool and the back of the tool tilted slightly up (basically at a 45 degree angle) to get closer to the head of the tick and slide in. Try to get under both front legs. Use the gloved hand to gently hold the butt of the tick towards the back of the tool until you gently pull outward. Don't jerk or pull too hard as you can rip the head off and have a whole other set of problems. - Clean out the wound with hydrogen peroxide then isopropyl alcohol (no, not captain morgan silly, thats for after you are done). - Clean tool with alcohol. - Identify tick, if it is the deer tick, watch for Lyme disease symptoms - If the tick is attached for less than 24 hours, they say it is less likely to transmit stuff. - Now enjoy the beverage of choice.

I didn’t think tick removal could be this easy!
I bought this product after a couple tries removing ticks from my pets with my own tweezers. I eventually worked it out to remove the tick, but I could not get the tick’s head out. I worried about the safety of my cats and the anxiety/fear I put them through because of how long it took me with regular tweezers. I did a little research and saw these recommended. They sat unused for almost a year until one day my youngest cat came home with a tiny tick IN HER EAR. These pet tweezers worked like a charm. I held her with one arm and removed the tick (with the head painlessly) on the first try. Highly recommend this purchase for anyone who lives in an area with a lot of ticks :)

My neighbours were just diagnosed with Lyme disease (in Devon!) so this is a great little solution to a very serious problem. Nice and simple. Being so small they can be hard to find in a bag, or just get lost. I drilled a hole in the handle of mine so It can attach to a cord around my neck, along with with my whistle. I’m only awarding 4* as the manufacturer could easily put a hole in the handle at source.

worked for me as a first timer
Though I live in the city (Toronto) I bought this after I kept hearing that the tick season is longer and ticks are worse each year. Had my first experience today and was worried I wouldn’t do it right but after a walk in the woods I found one on my dog that was still squirming with its legs out so I used the little twister and the whole thing came out still wiggling its legs. I was a bit confused because the write up says never pull but then in the directions it tells you to lift and it pretty much feels like a light pull. I found that I did have to pull a bit, or maybe lift/leverage the tool is a better way to explain it, and it came out in one twist. I didn’t see anything leftover so I think I did it right therefore i consider it easy to use. My dog was not phased. Never tried tweezers but I can certainly see how that wouldn’t be as effective.

Holy Moley... Skeptical Until Used
I purchased these in the fall as my dog kept getting ticks and tweezers were making a stressful mess for both of us. He did not get another one after I purchased until today. I pulled these out, used the big one (sizes are used depending on the tick’s depth into your dog) and slid it under the tick. One twist and it came out fully, intact and alive. No mess, no having to pick a tick’s head out of my dog. No stress for either of us. This, in my opinion, is a must buy item if you own a dog. The lack of stress for both of us was incredible. I am always extremely skeptical of items like this in the pet realm but this one is the real deal.

Work great, easy to use.
So glad I purchased these for this years "Tick season" It's the worst I've seen in my area of Nova Scotia. I have used these 3 times on myself and twice on my 6 year old daughter to remove ticks. They work very well. Really easy to use and you don't lose the tick once you pull it out. Much easier than tweezers. I think you're less likely to leave any "parts" behind when using the twisters as directed. Very, very happy. I will buy again, and recommend to others.
