Everyone loves it

Baby is now sitting up front cradled between our arms on bike rides. Being up front on the handle bars, requires your knees to be spread which changes the angle that your feet land on the pedals. My feet can just reach the outside of my pedals. Had to forgo clip-ins and decided to install wider pedals with metal screw grips for extra non-slip

A great, but not perfect, bike seat

I’ve had this bike seat for about 6 months now. I’ve gotten PLENTY of use and learned a few quirks along the way. First off, I’m a hefty woman. I was worried about how much space this seat would take up, but on my beach cruiser I still have plenty of room in front of me. The seat sits far enough forward that it’s a very comfortable ride. My toddler also loves being up front and seeing everything. If you have a particularly wiggly child, they may be able to throw you off balance since their movement can affect the steering. My biggest annoyance with this product is the key lock to keep the seat in place. I’ve taken the seat off using the key a few times, but then it just stopped working. I put the key in and for the life of me I cannot turn it to unlock. The entire inner part of the lock started sliding out (where you can see the pins inside) so I just shoved it back in and I guess I won’t be taking the seat off anymore. I also find it impractical to need a key for a product like this in the first place. It’s cumbersome to keep track of a key when they should have just made it a built in latch instead. Pretty inconvenient. The material that the seat is made of is basically the same material that bike helmets are made of. It flexes a little and it does feel like you could snap it if you really wanted to, but so far no issues carrying my 25 lb toddler. Overall I like this seat but I don’t not think it’s worth the high price.

Great product

Used on a full suspension mtb child is almost 2 approx 29lbs. Child fits perfectly and really enjoys his bike rides. One major flaw is top straps always slide to the sides of his arms. Top straps never stay secure to top of shoulders. Doesnt matter how tight the straps are, they always slide to the side. Besides that great seat for toddlers.

Does not fit out of the box

This is poorly designed and does not fit out of the box on a modern road bike. Why Thule? It would be so insanely easy to make the piece that mounts to the stem just a tad bigger so that it fits on threadless stem bikes. But Thule doesn't even make a bigger part. They make an adapter that is a bit chintzy if you ask me. How hard can it be to just make the piece a few millimeters bigger?

Great Fit for my little one.

I’m excited to use this, did a lot a research in finding a well-built child seat that would fit a Giant mountain bike. I needed to buy a handlebar extender to be able to attach the Thule mounting ring to my mountain bike; after doing that, it fit great.

Perfect for the small ones

I really enjoyed this one, as I can have my son in front of me, seeing everything so he can enjoy a lot more our rides. I have a MTB and I was only able to install because I still had all the rings, I just moved one to below the handlebar mount and it worked perfectly. Just be sure you have that 2 inches space and will mount just fine. I even bought another mount for my wife's MTB, on hers I had to trim around 2mm each side to fit the screws, nothing that a rotary tool can't do it in 1min.

Awesome seat, limited steering angle

Love the seat. My 1 year old will bike with me as long as I want. I have it on my full suspension mtb. However I wouldn't try to ride anything more technical than a dirt path with it. Steering angle is definitely limited by the foot rests

Very good bike chair

So my main concern with this chair was how would it affect steering. I was pleasantly surprised at how light the steering feels, its not exactly the same but it's not a big adjustment, it's pretty easy to use and riding doesn't feel that affected. Downsides on my particular bike the turning circle is increased, it's not a problem whilst you're cycling normally though may be an issue down a tight alley or something like that, however on a ladies or Dutch style bike I don't think this would be so much of an issue. Instructions to mount on an ahead system are not present, only for quill but it will fit,just need to figure it out. Also another common issue reported with straps falling off shoulders I found too, I'll need to get something to hold them together in the middle. The pros, it's light, very light, system for getting it on and off is a little fiddly at first but is easy once you get the hang of it it's fine and it's secure (both to not be stolen and stay in place), easy to cycle with, good view point for the child rather than a view of your behind, it works. Just some info on setup 29" front suspension mtb, I'm 172cm (5'8"), child is 71cm and about 11kg. I suspect I would be slightly better on a hybrid bike or 27.5" mtb, but it works well enough and is comfy to ride. Hope this info helps with your purchase, I'd certainly buy it again.

Great front seat for the little one!

This is brilliant, my son loves being upfront taking it all in. It makes for a more comfortable ride for me too where all the weight is well placed and I'm not forever looking over my shoulder. Highly recommend!

Fits on MTB

Have been using this daily since buying it over 2 months ago. It's fitted to a MTB (no additional kit other than what was in the box); this does mean the riders knees will touch the back of the seat, and the passengers head might touch riders chest ... this only gets annoying beyond 10-15km. The seat can be unlocked from the adaptor, kept at home when not in use, and easy to wipe down. Overall; it's secure, seems comfortable for the little man (80cm tall), I can keep an eye on him, and we're all enjoying its use.

Exceeded all expectations

This is a fabulous baby seat. My little boy just turned 1 earlier this month. I took him out today for the 1st time on the Yepp Nexxt Mini along with my 4 year old son who was attached to a tag along bike at the rear. We covered a round trip of 9 miles to the farm shop. I have a new mountain bike and was a bit apprehensive as I heard some people had issues with fitting the seat to a mountain bike. I had no reason to worry, it hardly even affects the ride of the bike. It's also amazing how quickly the seat attaches and detaches from the bike. Even the bracket that holds the seat doesn't look out of place. Up until now my wife and I had to have a baby sitter if we wanted to go out on our bikes, not anymore. This is a serious game changer. Looking forward to many rides over the summer.
