Good tacks, not many in the package
The tacks are fine, just not as many in the package as I might have hoped

How many are in a pack?
These tacks are great, sharp and shiny. The problem is that the first package I ordered had 100 tacks. So when I needed more I ordered 2 more packages, thinking I'd get 200 more tacks. Nope. Two more packs had 38 and 40 respectively. So now I've had to order 3 more packs to get enough to finish my door. The packaging isn't great either. The plastic packs come open in the shipping envelopes and are loose when they arrive, poking out the sides of the envelope. Maybe that's where the extra tacks went?

Sharp little tacks
I used this to put the back on a cherry-pick cabinet I built. They are just long enough to hold would have liked a few mm longer ,but they are cut very sharp and can be started just by pressing them in the wood. U the cut look.

Solid copper nails (soft metal, and very VERY short)
I can't complain about these but they ARE "decorative" (being made of a super soft metal), and they are short: really really short, and even though I read the measurements I was mildly disappointed by their depth of penetration. For what they are (short squat copper nails) they are perfect. I can't fault them for that, and the price I paid seemed fair (as this was a one time thing requiring two separate purchases because the stupid human who bough t them got ones far too short the first time). Spare yourself embarrassment and double check the length of your need. These are soft and bend extremely easily, but they are extra sharp and penetrate soft wood and drywall easily. ANY kind of metal (even a thin strip) should be pre-drilled with a tiny pilot hole first. Also, you may ("will") need a set of needle nose pliers to hold these while you hammer them in. Anyway, hope this helps. Thanks for reading.

TEN tacks for FIVE bucks! Are you kidding me?
Before ordering I read and re-read the product description to find how many tacks were included and could find nothing. So looked through the reviews and found one reference to 36 tacks, another 34, (read below) and those seemed like reasonable amounts and was enough to complete my project. I was also not pleased to find the "1/2 inch" tacks were only 3/8 inch long, but they worked---but 10 tacks for $5.22???? These were advertised as ".50 ounce (1/2 ounce) but weighed right at .14 (1/7th) of an ounce BOO to the Hillman Group and to Amazon for letting them pull this!!! Here is what is shown as the first question listed and answers: Question: What is the length of this tack and about how many are in a package? Answers: I purchased multiple packages, and each contained 36 tacks. Since they are sold by weight, this number can vary, but it should only vary by maybe 1 or 2 tacks. By Nathaniel S. on August 25, 2014 Length is less then 1/2 in and there was maybe 100. By Zac R. on July 25, 2013 Most are 1/2" long, a few are a bit shorter. The heads are thick. There were 34 in the package I bought. By Rannoch on July 1, 2017

Used for a mosaic project
I use these tacks as accent elements in mosaic projects. They have an Arts & Crafts feeling due to their hand cut nature. I think they are really pretty.

Perfect for my project. Using long nose pliers to keep them in place helps when hammering, as they are very short.
These nails are very very short and I actually used a pair of long nose pliers to hold them in place while hammering. They were however perfect for these really small framed oil paintings I wanted to hang to the side of a bookshelf, and the copper color worked great too.
