Worth the price

Easy to use and I use it always now that I have it. It's an old school method of protection that still works well and easily works on practically any standard car or SUV. I have used it on several different vehicles without any problem. I bought one for each vehicle.

Works well, simple and effective with a good finish.

So far, it is working well, no complaints; my daughter's car is still in the driveway! It comes with 2 keys, not 3 as it is sometime advertised. I made sure I oiled the lock prior to using it, as weather conditions are rather harsh where we are, with a lot of humidity and salty air. Warning: It can lock even without the key...so do not loose or misplace the key before you lock it! My daughter's car is a Kia Picanto, and the lock fits well on the steering wheel; so far no marks of any sorts....will have to check this in the future and update the review if need be. Everything can be broken or forced/disarmed, if given enough time of course; but this sort of device is already a visual deterent and will surely slow down any potential thief! I guess, this is what will make the difference between my car being chosen as a target or not; rather than the one next to it, and this is all one can expect in the end! Good value for money it is.

Let's be real here - The Club is not to be used as a first and last line of defense against car theft.

With that said though, it certainly is a great deterrent. And that is the keyword here: Deterrent. What is the number 1 protection against theft? If you guessed an alarm, or a club, or some other device, or keeping a King Cobra in your backseat, you are wrong. The answer is: Keeping your car in a garage. Unfortunately, for most people, this is not an option. That is where good deterrent items come on; The Club being one of them. For a "professional" car thief to steal your vehicle, it will take approximately 7 minutes, on average, for them to eat through your Club. But those 7 minutes are certainly better than nothing when he has to go through it when a remote-powered alarm is going nuts, too. See what's happening here? The point is, it is an effective deterrent. They *Can* deal with it, but often times, they'll look and see that you have a Club on the steering-wheel, and an exterior club on the back wheel, and they'll see you have a remote-powered alarm. It'll make it *not* worth their time a lot of the times.

My truck hasn't been stolen so it's working

I live next to a town that actually issues these for free for residents because the theft of Ford F150s is so out of control. I figured that 20 miles wasn't necessarily going to keep my truck outta harm's way so I purchased this. Maybe it's a peace of mind thing but so far it's nice to wake up every morning and see the truck in the driveway. Works easily, a little heavy for a little lady but certainly manageable. You do have to remember to get your steering wheel correctly positioned to use it. I'm happy with it and the navy blue matches my truck cuz that's important right?

Not as good as the old Clubs

Product Description Claims: This product is guaranteed for one year * up to $1800.00 against the owner's comprehensive insurance deductible. In Reality, once you open the package ( also printed in the package ) . . . it only has coverage Up to $500.00, and the limited warranty is only 90 days from the date of purchase. * The one year guarantee is good for one year IF you have COMPREHENSIVE insurance coverage. I guess people that only carry liability coverage are out of luck. I rather take my chances than registering "The Club" for Winner International having my information and selling it. Now . . . . on to the product. The locking mechanism works fine, but it does not take much effort to unlock the unit. It takes less than 1/8" of a turn to get it unlocked. ( the key turns 90 degrees from lock / unlock ). It takes almost the whole travel of the key If you use the key to lock it. I have an old ( over 10 years ) club; and on that one it takes almost the entire travel of the key to lock / unlock it. I'd return the one I just bought if it wasn't a hassle to get it packed and shipped back to amazon . . . . I guess I'll just use it as a deterrent hoping that a car thief sees it in the steering wheel and leaves my car alone. Having the club may have unintended consequences: [...]
