I should have read the description more carefully. I thought I was getting a tree that would bear shoes as fruit. Now before you judge, I am not so naive as to think that leather shoes would grow on a tree since leather is obviously an animal product. What I was hoping for was A tree that would jump-start my traditional dutch wooden shoe business I was hoping to start. I figured cedar shoes (odor neutralizing) in a very common size would be a great start. Then after earning back my investment I could branch out to other sizes, and possibly even other types of shoe; oak, redwood and eventually bonsai. Alas, it was not meant to be, just goes to show you that if it seems too good to be true it probably is. I will have to come up with another business idea that can start on a low budget. As for these cedar shoe form-maintaining, odor eliminating inserts (apparently also known as trees) they keep my leather shoes well formed and fit well. It came in a pair, which wasn't obvious from the description and further led to my misinterpretation of what this product really was.

Got a bad one?

I've purchased these several times in the past, but this time around I think I may have gotten a bad one. After a week's use or so, I pulled one out of a shoe, and parts just went flying. The little screw that holds the whole mechanism together went flying, and now I have one useless one. Not cool. Hopefully, they'll see this and look into the issue.

Keeps shoes in good shape

Same as my parents used years ago to keep their shoes in good shape and removes foot odors. No more toes curling up when not used for awhile. These will certainly last for many-many years to come.

Kinda stinks

These are great at reshaping my AF1's (size 10), but they kinda stink. I mean scent-wise, they just smell bad. There's a slight green tinge on parts of them so I'm wondering if they rotted somehow, because they do not smell like cedar. I contacted SofSole asking about a warranty or a response in general and they didn't respond, so their customer service is also poor.
