Initially, exceeds expectations.
I try not to buy things that don't work, agreeing obviously that buying something multiple times is almost always costlier than buying something solid once. For the price, I did feel I was taking a risk, though read some good reviews, and the sheer number of units sold was reassuring. Just built today, by myself, in about 75 minutes, I am impressed. Shipping was perfect. The instructions are fantastic...there are zoom-in's that are super helpful, and examples of just saying what direction things should be in clear English (Spanish and French instructions included and lots of pictures, but would recommend finding YouTube demo if not speaking English.) You need a Phillips, there is a typical light wrench and Allen included. Occasionally the angle is odd, but you can usually shift to make it easier. I am using a thick mattress, which I would recommend because, as stated by others, things are designed lower to the floor. As it sits, I would not want it higher than it is. Not sure where it will live between "family" and "play" room, but totally works in either. If the metal brackets are placed that keep things upright (couch), it is difficult to switch. I plan to use it as a couch almost always, so this is a non-issue. The few times I will convert it to a bed, I will remove the mattress and brackets. If you are frequently going back and forth, put the brackets in a drawer. It shifts perfectly, smoothly, and rather quietly, and gravity will keep things solid. It has been a day, so if everything goes to hell, I'll update, but you typically know if something is almost definitely going to work long-term, and after building, I am feeling confident.

I'm happy with it
I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing this futon frame, and I'd advise not to pay much attention to the negative reviews. I'm a pretty handy person, and found the assembly to be relatively easy. If you're not, I suppose you may have a different experience. I did it by myself in about 2 hours. Instructions were very clear and detailed, and all parts were well labeled. It came with an extra package of hardware, too. The bed seems sturdy enough- I weight 200 lbs, and I didn't notice any significant sagging when lying on it. I have to remove the mattress to convert it between couch and bed, but I suspect that is mainly due to the weight of the mattress. Overall, I'd say its a good product at a very reasonable price.

It's okay. It creaks a lot.
This futon does everything a futon is supposed to do. It looks nice from across the room, although if you look at it close up, the joints where it was assembled are not picture perfect. The instructions for putting it together are very clearly explained, and everything except I think a Philips head screwdriver was included. I believe you will need to supply your own Philips head screwdriver. The instructions recommend two-person assembly, but I did manage it myself using my knees and feet to hold the parts in place. It's on the small side, though still big enough for an adult. A bit low-to-the ground for standing up from, if you're tall. The metal bars can be felt through the mattress, but not enough to make it uncomfortable, just not the best on the market. It's okay for sleeping. The only real drawback is, it creaks loudly whenever you move. I think I paid somewhere around $110 and it was a more than fair price for what you get. It's just that you might not get everything you were hoping for. Oh, by the way, on the last step when it seems like the screw-holes were drilled wrong because the screws won't go in, actually I just used more muscle and they went in after all, so don't give up too soon. They were, however, a very tight fit.

Good, sturdy.
I have no complaints. Bought this about 6 weeks ago and seems to be decent quality and I am having no issues. Hopeful of getting several years of use out of this frame.

excellent frame
This came very well packaged, easy to follow instructions, took about 2hours for 1 person to put together, but I double and triple checked each move and all the hardware and screws for accuracy. The end product was a sturdy, well functioning frame which exceeded my expectations. Great value at a great price. Also included extra hardware.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Easy to assemble and very sturdy.
Needs a bed / sofa for our guest room. All the sleeper sofas we tried were extremely hard so we opted for a futon. Easy to assemble and well packed the only thing to be aware of is the listers idea of silver matched our idea of gray. Besides that perfect

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. It's definitely not bad if you're on a budget. I got mine used, wasn't to difficult to assemble. It only took about an hour but about 10 tiny screws were missing which was very annoying. It will bend and break quick if your not gentle with it. Overall i say it barely made 4 out of 5. It's not bad though.

Good quality
It’s great once assembled, the instructions can be a little clearer to understand as a DYI. A few of the screws wouldn’t tighten all the way. But otherwise good.

Sturdy enough for light to medium use
Parts came well-packed and arrived without damage. No missing parts. Spare parts package (nuts and bolts) are included, but weren’t needed. The assembly tools (wrench and 2 x Allen/Hex key) are included, so all you *need is a manual screwdriver with a Phillips bit. (*Note: I could have/should have used a real wrench and Hex key to make it easier, as the included tools are small and lightweight). I assembled it by myself, and found the instructions easy to follow. The holes all matched-up decently. The mechanism to turn couch to bed worked well without the mattress, but once the mattress was on it was ridiculously difficult to change from couch to bed and back. I got the DPH 8” Independently Encased Coil Futon Mattress. This mattress is too heavy for this lightweight frame, so I would recommend a lighter mattress. The frame squeaks a little, but not badly. I plan to use it mainly as a couch with occasional use as a bed, so I think it will hold-up for a while. Overall, you do get what you pay for, so the price for this product’s quality is reasonable.

Absolute Garbage - Broken
Considering the weight rating on this item the quality is absolute Garbage. It was delivered in Dec 2022 and I started having difficulties folding it starting in Jan.... I noticed that one of the folding mechanisms had come apart and bent itself. While trying to fold it the welds came apart. When contacting support they wanted part numbers from the instructions which I no longer had and ghosted me after 3 emails. They drug it out and now it's to late to return this POS. Save your money and get a wood frame.

Nice and sturdy once put together, slight recline on the back for comfort, low seating. Great for small spaces, it is a double size unit, looks great. Price is right. I measured for floor space and mattress size beforehand. Perfect fit.

Frame is about 4 inches to short for a standard size futon mattress. Instructions were lacking in detail but over all sturdiness is good

Reliable
It took some time to build but was worth it. Easy to convert from couch to bed. Lightweight but sturdy, the instructions were easy to follow (yes I read them).
