Problem solved!!
I don't know why I didn't buy these 20 years ago. Far better than bolts and washers to secure a vice to my drill press. Note that they are not threaded all the way through so short bolts are needed.

Not fully threaded and size is different than stated.
These are nice nuts but they are not threaded all the way through. And they are case hardened steel and destroyed my tap when I tried to extend the threads all the way through the nut. Also the size is 3/8 x 3/4 x 7/8 NOT 3/8 x 3/4 x 1/2.

Threaded 9/10ths of the way through
These generic T-slot nuts, they fit very well in the accessory slots of my 2013 tacoma. The only issue I have with them is they are only threaded about 9/10ths of the way through so you either have to get bolts that are shorter than the end or you have to cut the bolts so they fit. I bought slightly longer bolts that I figured would just poke out the back a bit and had to cut them to fit. Wish they were threaded all the way through. Otherwise no issues with them yet. I used them to make 2 shovel mounts and a fire extinguisher mount in my bed. So far they have held great with no issues.

They do't fit my Toyota Tacoma rails.
They don't fit my in Toyota Tacoma rails or in the cross-feed table slots on my cheap Chinese table-top drill-mill, but they do fit in slots of the base table of my Taiwanese Grizzly G9969 radial drill press. I can grind the base of these just a little to get them to fit in the Toyota, so I'll keep them.

works good in a 2nd gen Tacoma (2005-2015) bedrails
I have now bought 2 sets for my Tacoma to mount things in the box. They fit well in the rails on the sides and front of the box. The hole size/ thread pitch also are common and seem to work well in that they don't come loose.
