These are great. Hate paying full price for returned item.

I’ve bought two of these. The first one came completely sealed. The second one came in a plastic bag. It had obviously been installed. Parts had been removed, but I was able to reinstall. What I hate is paying full price for an obvious return Shame on Amazon. Went to install, and found out why it had been returned. There was flashing from the manufacturing that prevented the box from moving into place on the screws. Finally was able to install by cleaning out the flashing. I took away 1 star because of the manufacturing, but even more upset about Amazon selling a defective return as new.

Husband says these are terrific. Easy to install and use. We live on the ocean front and these look like they will last for awhile. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Easy

Very easy install. It took longer to take the old cover off, than to put the new one on. Just what I needed to keep my outside camera plugged in and dry.

Found this just in time

Ordered to finish recent project- running additional water and power to pasture. This arrived timely and easy install got it done before the snow. Now considering replacing other outlets needing upgrades

It comes with adapter plates for many different installation configurations. The lid can close even with a large plug. It is well designed and works very well.

Lots of room but,

Good size for larger plugs such as ev charge cables but, the stationary piece of the box is quite deep and doesn't allow room for a right angle plug cable to exit without a severe bend. However, the case is sturdy enough that it can withstand some alteration and I drilled a 5/8" hole and slotted it to the outside edge. A straight plug would have no issue.

Not meant for security puposes

Our community centre is always attracting street people who come and plug their electrical devices into our external power outlets. We thought this would be a great solution. Easy to install, and quite sturdy. However within the first 24 hours, one of them cut the lock off at the lock loop. Within a week they did the same to a second one. Please understand this is NOT the fault of the manufacturer or this box. It is a great product but be aware that cutting through the metal is quite easy if someone wants to. We have now installed smart outlets that can be powered off on wifi when not in use. Much more costly option.
