It Does The Job

This was easy to put together for the most part. I bought two and one did crack a bit when putting in one of the dowels that go in the front nail holes. We got each one for around $35 dollars and I expect I could get the same quality from walmart for $70. It's definitely not great but it gets the job done.

Overall a great accent table/night stand. Had some issues out of the box

I spent hours and days searching every furniture store and website looking for a night stand that would look great without breaking the bank. I finally came across these and decided to buy them. For the price, they are unbeatable. Very solid construction for the overall product, although the shelf is just flimsy fiber board or something. Out of the box, one of the night stands was broken, and they were missing some hardware, but nothing that I couldn't improvise or get for cheap at the hardware store, so I didn't bother returning. The shelf as mentioned, is a bit flimsy, and the posts or mounts, whatever you want to call them, that hold the shelf in place often randomly fall out, so the shelf will fall if you're not careful. But I don't place anything important or heavy there. These night stands look great, and are what is to be expected from these materials. It's not a high dollar solid wood construction, but it's not overly cheap either. For the price, they are well worth the purchase.

Accent table

The value for the price is excellent. I wish all pieces were wood but the tops are wood along with the frame, sides are press board that you slide in. Once put together good looking

Nice cabinet

Very easy to assemble and love the black color. I would not put anything heavy in the cabinet or on the shelf. Each of the shelf areas are only 1/4 hardboard. The top however is solid wood and can hold at least 20 lbs. I do believe the item has weight limits for each area. Make sure to look at that before you buy. I’m just using it as a lamp nightstand.

You get what you pay for with this stand. Totally worth the price and is easy to assemble. Not a very sturdy nightstand but it will do the job.

Be Prepared For Imperfections And Fitting Issues

If you are expecting top quality for $35, then these particular Winsome night stands are not for you. I purchased 2 of them and both had some issues with finish and fitment. I was not expecting perfection in this price range, so it's not that big of a deal, at least not to my problem solving skills. I gave them a low rating because the issues I had made them borderline returnable, but I decided to fix them myself. After all, I more than likely would have received replacements that had issues as well, so why bother. Minor cosmetic issues along with fitment tweaking here and there is par for the course for furniture in a box, especially in this price point. These are MDF (medium density fiberboard) with a thin, fake wood grain laminate adhered to the surfaces. They consists of 9 individual pieces, held together with 10 wood screws that secure into pre-drilled holes. The instructions are simple, easy to follow and all that is required is a Phillips screwdriver and if you receive units like mine, some glue as well. Assembly time for the first one was about an hour, but the second took about 20 minutes. They are packaged well and mine came with no parts missing. As for fitment, there were several issues but all were minor. The shelf in the top compartment and the side panels are a 1/8" thick cardboard type material and are not perfectly flat. One of my side panels had a slight bow which made fitting it into is designated slot problematic. There are two small rails that must be attached in order for the front and back pieces to fit together, both with small dowels on each end. One of the dowels was partially broken on mine, but luckily it was barely hanging on outside of its hole. So, I broke it off the rest of the way, applied a little epoxy and stuffed it back in. Some of the gaps were also a tad large in the frame and unfinished wood could be seen peeking through. Considering my tables were black, the gaps were lighter in color and really stood out, so I used a toothpick and some black paint to hide them. The top compartment is separated from the rest by a thin shelf. The shelf sits in place on 4 plastic shelf holders that slide into pre-drilled holes. One of my holes was slightly higher than the rest, which resulted in one corner of the shelf higher than the rest. So, hand drill to the rescue...problem solved. The bottom shelf (basically the bottom of the table) and the top have no structural support underneath in the middle, so putting something heavy in the center of them will more than likely result in bowing over time. The finish on both were far from perfect. Some tiny dents and dings can be found on both my tables if one looks hard enough. Some still had black paint to hide them and some didn't. The ones that didn't, I quickly covered up with a black sharpie marker. The biggest defect I found was on both top pieces. The tops are thick with beveled edges and are the main eye catching feature of these tables. Both my tops had edge damage, one minor and one major. I actually was considering returning one for a replacement but decided to give the trusted black sharpie another chance. It covered it up well and I was able to assemble the table so the damage was facing the wall and could not really be seen. The doors, which are pre-installed with pivot pins, swing out nice and have magnetic closures along with heavy, brushed nickel finished knobs. Because of their light construction, lack of proper cross bracing and small feet, once assembled, they do wobble and twist a little bit. Once a lamp and other items are placed inside, they become a little more sturdy. On carpet they seem to sit level, but once put onto a hard surface like a kitchen floor, they tend to be slightly uneven and rock a bit. I'm using them on carpet, so no biggie. One thing that I did find helpful, was that the instructions come with an order form for replacement parts. If yours arrive with missing or damaged parts, you can fill out the form and mail it in. Not sure if the company will actually honor this or not, but it's nice to have the option. Overall, for the price, they are just ok. They are functional and look good but it will take some TLC to get them there. Don't expect perfection. Make sure you have some wood glue and stain or paint handy to cover up the nicks and dings from the manufacturing process. If you want good quality, plan on paying for it.

Perfectly fine in this price range.

We were just looking for something cheap for my teenage son to keep his phone charger and a small lamp on. If you are looking for something low priced that goes together quick this is it. If you are wanting high end furniture than obviously there are better choices. My teen doesn't need anything expensive.

Easy to assemble and serves its purpose

Great side table. Easy to put together but make sure you give screws a reasonable tighten to close gaps etc. It is sturdy and has a decent amount of room.

Good product if you’re looking for a low price night stand

Easy to put together. The walls of the stand are very thin particle board, but once out together properly it feels sturdy. The door is a little flimsy, but as long as your mindful it’s fine. I have it as night stand and it serves its purpose well. I wouldn’t recommend this product if you plan on having it outside of a bedroom or have kids, the door hinges will fail with heavy use.

A good little table…

I honestly don’t believe it is quite worth the price, but it is a fairly decent bedside table. Much lighter than I thought it would be though… Regardless, it does it’s job.

???? Mr. Windsome Stands Right Beside me Every Night to make sure I have what I need at All Times.

Thank you Mr. Windsome, you've been great. Whatever I need I turn to my Left and there it is, whenever I need space to put something while I'm working (so I don't tangle myself in the computer and outlet wires around me), I turn to my left and there it is. It's dark and sexy looking, it's deep and attractive, open the door and store stuff you need of your, and have some wires coming from underneath so no one can see them beside you. Put a lamp on it, put your spinning product caddy, put a beautiful something and a beautiful something on top of that with all your something's in them. I have also the phone on it, Kleenex, my sexy lotions and potions, and inside that top shelf the things I use right away when starting at night. Glasses, Modems, Connectors, USB Cords, Couch Brush, some Junk Drives and more. In the dark it shines with my computer light on it, and I feel so lucky to have found it. Put wheels on it if you like, put padding on the top with a glass cover if you like, but you won't like this one - YOU'LL LOVE IT. I know I do. Thank you Mr. Windsome. Just make sure who ever makes it, tightens all parts really tight, and thus using the professional tools that you own and not their dinky one's they give us okay, or it will seem ready but it will not be. If your fingers are thin and long or just ridden with arthritis, you'll hurt yourself with that tiny tool they give you to tighten and fasten, use the professional ones with the gripping handles and enjoy. Because if you don't use the professional tools for preparing this piece, you may end up with: a pretty whimpy nightstand, and wobbly that won't do anything but fall apart when you move it or use it, especially if you fill it the first time after with books and heavy things. But if you want cheap, you get this one, just don't build it cheaply or it will remain so, use the professional tools to build it and squeeze tightly always. I couldn't\'t find a cheap one with such greatness if you paid me, and I certainly didn't want to look outside offline, besides I would have had to pay way more than this for something similar offline. Online I'm limited because many companies don't understand my address yet and choose not to deliver to me so when I get one that does, I LOVE THEM. Muawww!
