Item is great after programming is achieved......
I like the fact it uses a 9v battery which last longer than the other battery options on the market. You do not want to bother with any other type of battery as they drain fast and without much use. 9 volt battery is a selling point for me. Pros: Very nicely packaged. All instructions and mounting screw options are neatly packaged and included. Once programming is achieved, this item works great. Cons: Programming is possible but only after many tried attempts and having to factory reset after each attempt to ensure I was starting from scratch. Not the easiest to program but great once it is achieved. Finally, having the keypad in my hand and standing near to the garage door "Learn" button to make it easier to try, fail, and reset to make it more convenient to turn it over to expose the "reset" hole on the rear of the keypad. My advice is to try and reset each time to ensure true factory reset and starting from scratch is assured. Also, I tried pressing the "Enter" key five times according the instructions. I then realized I should have been pressing the "Enter" key six times as per my Genie garage door model. It works and even though it was a little frustrating, part of that is my own fault. Had I realized I should have pressed the "Enter" key six times vs the five times, I may have had an easier time programming. So it is good to consider this when you get yours. I hope this helps in your buying decision process.

Instructions that came with key pad are terrible and incomplete.
Instructions that came with Key pad said if your opener has 3 position dip switches just leave middle switch at "0" ????? ...nothing else... After a couple of hours resetting and retrying to get programed finally figured out "0" would not program in so I reset my dip switches on each opener to on/off #2/8 only and after trying to figure out which ID code to use for a 1988 Sears opener with 9 switches I finally got working with #10 ID for a Chamberlain 1990-1992 390 MHz since no ID listed for Sears 1988, then spent more time to reset dips on other fobs and car openers, and had to reset Nissan intell system also. Works ok but have to enter code and press enter each time to stop door then enter code and press enter to lower door. Can not figure out how to just press enter/with arrow down only to lower door. Not happy with that. (Both doors work the same of course with different codes) Will try to call company tomorrow to find out if that operation is correct.

Didn't work for me
Tried programming over a dozen times, resetting each time. I have a Chamberlain opener, which it says it's compatible with. Should have read the fine print. Says it's compatible with "some" red/orange Chamberlains. Too late to get my money back.

Good replacement keypad for an older garage door
Once you know what to look for, setting this up is quite easy. It requires that you open up the opener mechanism (the thing inside your garage at the top which pulls the door) to find the code that your opener is set to. It's probably a set of either 12 or 9 mini switches, each with a number above it. The switches are either ON or OFF. You don't have to do anything to those switches except take a photo. Next, you open up the new keypad, find the same toggles in the keypad and match it to what you saw in your garage door mechanism. Once you do that, you'll then have to program the code you want to use to actual signal the door to open. Follow the instructions to make sure you program it to the type of door you have. Once you do that though, it should already be working. I'd recommend testing it out at this point before installing it. But if it all works, then you should be able to just attach it wherever you'd like nearby. Overall, the setup process was easier than I expected. The instruction manual was pretty good and helped throughout.

Ok but!
My old Genie keypad was junk!! It was always requiring me to re- enter my code and press real hard on the buttons. Grrrr! Bought this pad and it at least takes my inputs good. Now the down side, the programming instructions were ok and I got through that in a couple tries. The problem was the Manuel. It classified my Genie as a #5 (2005 and up). When my Genie would not learn this pad, I used the 2004 and older (#6) code and it worked even though my Genie is a 2014 model. So be aware you might try a different aged unit if it doesn’t work after several tries. Otherwise, it works great. Hope this helps.

Easy and It works
Shipment / Delivery was pretty quick from Amazon. For Setup, I read the instructions and also watched the video on Amazon which gave me a pretty good idea. I followed the instructions to set up the PIN/Code on Refoss wireless keypad. I have a Genie IntelliG 1000 garage opener - which does not have a learn button. So the Refoss instruction did not exactly work. I searched and found instructions for programming/connecting Genie Wireless Keypad and tried that but that also did not work. My 3rd attempt was to program the Refoss Wireless Keypad just as I would do for normal remote control and that worked and was much easier. Mounting the Keypad to the side was also simple. The whole process from opening box to completion took about 15-20 minutes. The only issue I've seen is when I accidently pressed one of the button at angle, the button was stuck as pressed-in, but this has only happened once so I think it was user error. Family and I've used the keypad several times now and it works great, no issues.

Read the directions
It took me more than a few tries to get each garage door set up. I'm sure there is some operator failure involved. I'd get one going but struggle with the second. Then it picked up the neighbors opener signal and they opened one of my doors. That took some wrangling and resetting and patience to reconcile. I'll know when neighbors return from holiday. I think I have it solved. I think....

Great for the price!
This is a great purchase for the price! It was pretty difficult to figure out how to program it with the garage doors (like a half day job), but it’s worked great since we got it all set up! The only thing I wish is that the buttons would light up at night. But I’m happy with the purchase!

Works with Craftsman Liftmaster
Ok, it's a bit of a faff to program this unit, mainly because the instructions are poorly translated into English and thus unclear and confusing. Still, once you figure it out, and then apply the correct code for your brand, it does work (I used code 03 for Craftsman Liftmaster with the purple 'learn' button). Pros: Seems to function well and has a nice tight seal on the cover - will keep weather and bugs out. Cons: The instructions are not well translated and are somewhat unclear. You have to enter your code + enter to close the door - would have been nice just to hit enter to close.

Works great on Liftmaster Yellow Learn Button
Product works great. Instructions are excellent. Just remember to press the learn button on your actual garage door opener attached to the garage door and NOT the wall door opener like I was. Product is backlit to see keypad at night and is made from sturdy plastic.

Did not work with either Chamberlain opener I own even though it says it does. Waste of time
The ad is clear. Works with Chamberlain. Purple button. Yup. Orange button. Yup. True? No way. First off the programing instructions are trash. They are poorly written and predate the hardware they ship. It talks of dip switches but there are not dip switches on the opener. It's better without, but you have to figure out how the instructions adjust due to it. Programming is not trivial but it's not impossible. Once you have it figured out its not too bad. The issue is it just did not work. I tried every Chamberlain code it handles (there are 3) with both of my openers. One is a purple button. The other is an orange button. I wasted an hour as I really did not want to return it but I eventually gave up. In the end I bought a brand name Chamberlain one locally and had it working in less than 5 minutes (including screwing it into the wall). Save yourself the effort and do the same. It costs more... But it works.

It is almost impossible to install it properly
After an hour of frustration, I managed to install it for one door as long as I didn't do step 5, it wouldn't recognize my Chamberlain purple opener (03). I tried to repeat THE SAME PROCEDURE for the second door and it wouldn't allow the confirmation of the code that had been previously accepted, so when I tried to open the garage door it would flash indicating that the code was incorrect. I checked the battery and read 8.37 V. I tried it with a new battery from Amazon that read 9.3 V and the problem persisted. I decided to keep it since both of my cars can open both doors. When we use the wireless keypad is to open only one door. Inconvenient? YES. I am getting tired of returning items to Amazon, it is not their fault.

Easy to install and setup. Works with Chamberlain gdo
Unit was very easy to setup as long as you follow the step by step instructions on the little leaflet. It comes with its own 9v battery so you don't have to scramble to get one. It's keypad illumination and beep will make sure you are aware about its function during day and night time. It gives an audible alarm too if wrong code is pressed. I did setup before mounting it on the wall and this helps in making sure that all steps are happening within that time period. All in all a very reasonable priced unit with functions you need.
