Pretty good as long as your cat isn't a tiger

Had one of these for about four years now, and it held up well enough, so we bought two more for the other cat boxes. It's got two layers to it, so the litter falls through the mesh and gets held by the non-perforated bottom. It catches the litter fine and you have to take it outside and shake it out once in a while, but it's better than a crunchy floor and getting litter stuck to your feet every time you walk in the room. Also keep them from dragging the litter on their paws out of the laundry room into the kitchen and living room, which is a huge plus since it means we don't get sand trails through half the house anymore. Haven't put them in the washer yet, even though it says you can, but then our cats haven't ever dropped anything but dry litter from their paws as they get out of the box, so it's fine. Our cats don't claw at the litter mats, just rub their paws after going to the box, so I can't say if it'd hold up to rough use, but if your cat's not a claw crazy after potty mountain lion, they're pretty good.

YES it DOES shake out! Miraculous!

Really I never knew I could get so excited about a litter mat. Yes, 2020 was a bad year, but even so, this is SOOOOO superior to those rubber bottomed ones that you can shake and vacuum till the cows come home, and you will STILL hear litter rattling in there and dropping out while you are putting it back in place. (You know the ones: yes they lay perfectly flat, weigh a lot, and look like the top is made of plastic spaghetti that was sat upon by an elephant.) This Pioneer Pet REVERSIBLE --yes, it's a great thing decor wise if you care--weighs nothing at all yet stays in place when parked partly under the pan (I can't attest to free standing behavior), COMPLETELY empties when you casually pick it up by four corners and tip that clean litter back in the pan. So satisfactory. (The others, well, you trail litter all the way to the door because you can only gather up 2 sides and the litter never all comes out anyway.) So this does not lie 100% flat--kind of 90%--- but that is the least of my concerns--stays a little bit rumply, but I am not decorating--just collecting clay. And it does such a good job at it that I have less litter on my rugs than with the others. Thanks for a great product. And the washability is a great option. Awesome design.

Super mat under pet dishes too!

I got the first mat some years ago, and it finally got a little scroungy looking. The new one is identical. I love that it catches litter or food (if you use it under pet dishes), and shakes out or wipes so easily. This is the very best mat I have found, and I have tried many. It's light in weight and flexible as well. It goes in my washer on the gentle cycle when really dirty, but can be wiped or hosed easily.

Just what I needed

I love that it’s not a rigid mat, but flexible to fit where I needed it. It catches all of the litter and is easy to shake out.

Good but doesn’t stay in place.

I really like this mT, but I would love it if it had some way to keep it in place. Cats can easily move it when they get out of the litter box. I had to anchor mine down by placing much of it under the litter box. I loved that I could easily shake out the litter and toss it in the washer to clean it.

Best Litter Mat

I'm a cat person - meaning I live with cats and belong to cats. We have two cats and two litter boxes. This litter mat does the best job of any that I've had of keeping the litter from being scattered around and tracked through the house. I've had the first mat of this type for several years and it's still in perfect condition. I just take it outside and shake it out occasionally. When my husband found a kitten in the road (cat #2), I was happy to find these on Amazon so I could place one under litter box # 2. If they want to improve these, they could make them about two inches wider. They work really well.

Well I call them cookies mat

I love this Matt. This is the best thing that I have ever found that helps keep my cat from dragging the Tiny pieces from from her litter box. At first I just bought one and then I realized that she needs more then just one of the mats. I hope they eventually make these mats longer. But if I have to I’ll continue buying two

Softer alternative than a rubber mat

This was a cheaper option than the other litter trapping mats. I choose it for the colour but soon realized it not as sturdy as the black ones Material a bit sticky if you step on it barefoot. So far trap wood pellet litter, will try with clay.

This is a great mat for keeping the floor clean as any litter drops through and doesn’t get scattered all over the floor.
