Sometimes not a 100% even split.
I’ve noticed with some pills it’s not an accurate split but other than those few odd splits it does as advertised.

Bought this to cut a small pill in half. My doctor lowered my mg dosage. It does the job.

Perfect for my little pills
This is a great little pill splitter. It uses a razor type blade to cut the pills, so little crumbling or smashing. The slot where you put your pill is a V shape so you can slide it down to the bottom of the V and the pill is held solidly and cut in half evenly. If there are crumbs left, you can easily tip them out and collect them.

Sturdy but the pill divider just gets in the way
I wanted a sturdy pill splitter, and I got one. The splitter isn't big enough to have two compartments for pills. Having a divider in that space just creates two difficult to use, tiny compartments. I used a pair of wire cutters to remove the divider.

6 yrs and still going strong
I HIGHLY recommend this pill cutter. I bought several other cutters and the casing would shatter if used to cut harder, large pills. I got this one about 6 yrs ago. After a year of use I decided I needed to get a couple more to have "in reserve" for when it finally broke. I've used the original one 4-6 times a day, cut hard, coated pills in quarters (my system has trouble breaking down coated pills). The original is still working like when it was new. I clean the blade every few months (carefully) and it is still sharp after very heavy use. I have two more still in the boxes in a drawer - seems I'm set for life.

Cut above
A very handy little item, so easy to use - pop pill into v shape part inside, line up pill, and press top down firmly whilst keeping firm grip on sides of the base, and well away from the blade inside. Without wishing to state the bl...... obvious, keep well away from kids and also certain nosy pets. A very useful handbag or pocket item for those who have to carry medication that needs to be reduced in size. So much easier than trying to swallow a pill designed to choke probably 95% of the population. (Wouldn't you think that pill manufacturers should have got the message by now?)

Ok at cutting halves
Bought this as my dog needs 3/4 of a tablet. Tablets are about 1cm long and this cutter works well slicing them in half. When I cut the half piece in half to get the quarter it’s pot luck if it cuts ok or not. It’s difficult to position and stay in the exact right position. Often end up with one part bigger than the other - or 1 part crumbled to powder. Perhaps one in 10 times I get it right. It has 2 small areas where I can store about 4 or 5 of the cut pieces which is great - means I can do a small batch at once rather than cutting every time I need a tablet.

Cuts really small tablets
I have to take 1.5 of one of my drugs daily, and it’s so small that most pill cutters didn’t work. This is one of the best I’ve found. It is a bit stiff for weak hands to open, but otherwise great. I believe this is so you can store drugs in it if needed, so roundabout and swings I suppose. Like most cutters, your hand pressure will usually cut it slightly lopsided, so it’s best to gently push it the other way a bit as you cut to even this up. It does cut really small tablets well though, so five stars from me!

Works Perfectly
It arrived quickly, the following day and it works perfectly. It splits my tablets accurately in half with ease, with barely any need to apply any pressure and it doesn't cause any crumbling. To a certain extent, its effectiveness may in part be due to the size and texture of the tablet being cut, but that is surely only to be expected. It works perfectly for me. I hope this is helpful.

Good, easy to use pill cutter
This pill cutter is easy to use, even with non-circular pills, due to the V-shaped holder. And it has two compartments for storing the pills in after cutting - you can easily sweep the cut pills into the first compartment, for quick cutting of one pill after another. The cutting action works well - it cuts quite accurately, and very few pills get shattered.
