The gun works fine, but not for the use I was intending.

I purchased this more expensive model of glue gun thinking it would work better for melting flexible sealing wax for letters, etc... I tried hard to find out if you could remove the sticks from the gun at will, but couldn't get an answer to my question, so I took the chance and ordered this one. I thought because it was a pro model, it would allow you to remove and interchange the sticks, but not so. They make sealing wax in a variety of colored sticks to fit glue guns just for this purpose. Although the gun does work fine, I am disappointed you can not remove the sealing wax sticks after you install one. Once you commit to using a certain color stick, you have to keep it in the gun till it is used up. So you can not change the stick to change colors of sealing wax. If I would have known this, I would have bought several very inexpensive glue guns to devote to each color wax.

A Hot Product

Surebounder 100 watt glue gun is awesome and easy to use. Great for any craft or woodworking project, the control of how much glue comes from the nozzle is based on how hard the trigger is squeezed and works excellent. However, be warned, the glue that comes out of this gun is extremely hot and will burn skin really fast and easily, so use with caution.

Finally a GREAT low-temp glue gun!

The Surebonder line of glue guns is the best available, and this new "pro" model is perfect for larger projects. The low-temp is great for craft uses such as bonding styrofoam. It uses the larger glue sticks so reloading is kept to a minimum if you use the longer sticks. However, since it uses the thicker glue sticks, it does take longer to heat up (5-10 minutes for optimal performance) but once it gets going, there's never a problem. The trigger is smooth and well proportioned, and when you let go, the flow of glue stops - no leaking! There's also an off/off switch which is a rarity in glue guns. And the nozzle comes off for cleaning or to use with other tips (not included). The only con is the flimsy wire stand. With this pro level glue gun, one would expect a better stand since it does topple over easily.

heats up fast and works great

works perfectly for my wood and carpet projects and i would buy it again but make sure you buy good quality glue sticks like Gorilla brand or something equally as good
