Should have gotten one years ago......
The manufacturer only has a few holes to drill but not all were properly aligned. I would expect this if it were made in china, but not the U S A ! I had to get my drill out and re-line a couple of holes so the wheel bolts would go through. Other reviews said the same thing, come on guys for the price we pay can't you do it right? You know there is a problem but you refuse to fix it, WHY? You might want to point out it was not designed for 4 door hardtop.

My husband said the carrier/stand is great and wish we had purchased it years ago

It works...but requires modifications...
Does this act as a stand for your hardtop?: YES Does it work as advertised out of the box?: NO PROBLEM 1: The product arrived with one of the caster bolts completely bent. I contacted Surco directly and was informed that since the product was purchased through Amazon, they offer no customer support...in order to get a replacement caster, I would have to either a) return the entire thing to Amazon (bit of a hassle for a product this size), b) PURCHASE the piece from Surco, or c) I could just purchase a replacement caster that matches from a local hardware store. Going with "c" I've found that finding a matching same height wheel with correct length/width bolt is nearly impossible...after multiple trips and trials, I've also ordered some casters from Amazon to try out and nothing has fit correctly. So, my final option is to continue searching while the "cart" is currently just a 3-wheeled stand balanced on a stack of books for the missing caster. (ALSO: Since the sizes of generic replacements don't match, you're looking at replacing all 4 casters...that adds up to between $30-70 on top of the cost for the carrier.) PRBOLEM 2: I see why it scratches, now. Everything is pieced together correctly. However, they use an incredibly thin/cheap/unreliable "pad" where the hardtop rests it's wait at the base. So, I've also had to add a couple of thick floor-protector furniture pads since I've just found a chip in the paint after loading/unloading the hardtop one time. CONCLUSION: Yes, it works and helps save space. However, I recommend buying the hardware and building one yourself for less than $90. The cost alone wasn't a deterrent for me; it's the lack of customer support coupled with an expectation that I have to pay to replace a part broken out of the box along with the cost/time to make modifications which should be standard for the price...(AND the chip in the paint on my hardtop that hasn't even been outside in over a year.)

Provides the utility and ease you need.
The product went together okay, but it did require a bit of "persuasion" in the form of hammer blows. The drilled holes for the wheeled footing pieces were not precise enough to allow one of the wheeled footings through. A few stout hammer blows helped, though. I bought this model precisely because I did not want the typical foreign-made frustrations, so this was a moment of "Really?, I pay extra for quality and *still* have to pound the thing with a hammer? (eyeroll)" The other downgrade is the instruction set. It was not entirely evident the proper angle of the support bar when you first contemplate the item. A few reads, and a lightbulb went on, "Oh, that needs to angle in..." But those minor, fleeting frustrations aside, the product is worth the price. Lines up well, and putting the hardtop on the frame is easy. The wheels and cart move the top well. The high angle allows you to snug it up against a wall or in a corner.

AMAZING Problem Solver
love this thing! once i installed my soft-top, i haven't felt the need to remove it to re-install my hard-top. i doubt i ever will. my hard-top has been in my basement taking up a ton of space and collecting dust. anyone that owns one knows that they are unwieldy and not the easiest thing to move around and/or store effectively by yourself. well this thing works AMAZING and is well worth the investment! easy to put together and easy to set-up and put the top on it all by yourself! now i have a large section of my basement back! my hard-top is now tucked neatly into the corner taking up FAR less space. i love this thing and feel like a fool for not having gotten one sooner! highly recommend!

Pivots
Awesome cart, made my life easier. I don’t have a house or garage because I live in Seattle and property taxes suck, so I store my roof in my apartment. Thank god it’s on the first floor. Every year, I go through the process of tapping off all the wall corners so I can get the roof through the narrow zig zag hallways without having to do taping/mudding after. This cart can actually PIVOT. It can even go over the threshholds and random sidewalk breaks fairly easily. That stupid window stays closed too, once you have it situated on the cart. And side note, how is that still a thing? It’s the 21st century, and we all still have that stupid latchless back window. Come on Jeep. Help your people. It’s not like we’re asking you to choose between SAE or metric bolts. Also, no bungees or straps required. The roof balances on the cart surprisingly well. Oh, and the height of the cart with a 95 Wrangler roof just fits under your standard door.

After Many Failed Solution’s This Was the One!
I have to admit I thought this particular solution for the hard top off our Jeep Wrangler 4 door was going to be a complete disaster. I really did. I figured it couldn’t be any worse than the hoist solution we tried a couple weeks ago. That was painful and irritating from start to not finished. However. I was completely shocked at how easy this carrier went together and then I was floored by how easy getting the Jeep top on it and balanced was. I was mainly worried about the weight causing the expensive top to tumble and crash to the cement floor of my garage. Not only did it balance perfectly, but the ease with which we can move it around if needed is amazing! I cannot stress how much I recommend this product if you are considering purchasing it.

Debes de comprarlo si tienes los dos techos!!
Me gusto mucho muy practico, aunque el precio es un poco elevado por lo que es considero que es de los más económicos respecto a su competencia.
