One of the Best Out There

My customers love this mount, especially for outdoor gazebos/patios. The range of motion is perfect for a corner beam mount. Some TV mounting devices say “full motion” but, it’s only side-to-side. This one has up and down action as well. Highly recommend this style.

If your TV isn't heavy enough then it won't stay down.

I bought this because I thought it would allow me to lower my new 24" TV in my RV from the high position when not on the road. What I found out after getting it was that it has a minimum TV weight requirement of 11 lbs. That's a lot more than the newer lighter TV's in the lower size range of what they're marketing it as working with. My 24" TV weighs less than half that amount, and it didn't have nearly enough weight to balance out the spring. My advice is be careful ordering if you've got a newer and lighter TV. If you've got an old heavier one, or if it's newer and large enough to be 11+ lbs, then it's more likely to work well. This was not made clear in the marketing.

Perfect for my daughters Loft Bed

I had an unusual situation in how to mount my daughters new tv in her bedroom. She has a loft bed and the only sensible wall to mount a tv was partially blocked by the footing of the bed. The problem was the ideal location was not in line with studs. Going over to the next studs was undesirably far away and angled too much. I could have probably got away with the side swiveling mount but I like the idea of the vertical adjustment. Since the tv doesnt sit directly centered to the mount base, I had to mess around for a good while to figure where I wanted it to be able to move to. It ended up being pretty ideal as far as her view not being obstructed from any point on her bed. She seems to like to pull it out so thats its a few feet off the wall, closer to her. It's only a 43" tv but it doesnt sag or seem weak when the tv is pulled out the entire way. Quality is pretty good, range of motion is great. I do wish it could be adjusted vertically more, but thats really my only complaint. Happy with the purchase.

Too flimsy for 45lbs TV

I had high hopes for this. Much cheaper than Mantelmount, and sits much closer to the wall. But it just couldn't seem to adequately hold my 45lb TV (which is 20lbs below the max rated weight), so I'm forced to return it.. The bracket was not stiff, so it would twist (i.e. torsion) back and forth. The connections are riveted together so can't be tightened, but really it seemed it was the metal of the bracket itself doing the bending anyway. Besides that, the joints are stiff, and since there's no handle anywhere you have to push your TV around to try to maneuver the bracket into the position you want - especially hard to get it to fold up to the wall properly. Super frustrating, as I had several hours of effort into this by the time I got it on the wall. This is in part because there is no template or even detailed measurements provided, so I need to make a template and do some mockups to figure out how to mount this thing to get my TV at the right height, centered, and ensure the bracket would be hidden. In case it helps somebody else: - when flat against the wall, the center of the TV will be 1.5" offset from the center of the bracket. It's offset to the left or the right depending on which way you fold the bracket up. - The height of the TV above the bracket depends on where your VESA holes are, but if yours are very low on your TV then you risk the bracket being visible behind the TV when it's in the highest position (which is typically how you'd stow it). There are 4 configs for the "ears" which attach from the main body of the bracket to your VESA holes, but in the config where the bottom ears are the lowest (sort of in an X shape), it seems there is about 6" from bottom edge of bracket to the bottom-most VESA hole. NOTE though that once you put the TV on the bracket, it will sink down about 1.5" (at least mine did) so this distance is closer to 4.5". Bottom line, if your lowest VESA hole is <6" from the bottom of your TV, the bracket might be visible - depending. - This bracket APPEARS to be the same as the VIVO Counterbalance MOUNT-VW03G and the Vivo website has some good documentation and videos. The Vivo costs a lot more, so maybe it's more sturdy... but they are just so similar in appearance that I have a hard time believing they are different in any way.

This WILL hold a SAMSUNG LC49RG90SSNXZA 49-Inch CRG9 Curved Gaming Monitor

Got this for my CRG9 and it holds the weight and allows you to push it into place and it will stay. The up/down tilt is minimal (like 5 or 10 degrees) but its enough if you put the monitor up high and want to point it down a little bit. The most "upward" that tilt goes is perfectly flat/straight forward (no upward tilt). Good enough, though! The side to side is enough that you dont have to be 100% perfect with your mounting. The piston arm is adjustable to make it "strong" enough to hold the screen in place with it fully extended out. Honestly not bad for the money.

Frustrating to level

Not a huge fan. Doesn’t go as low as I had hoped. The base that attaches to the wall doesn’t have a great surface for leveling. Leveling the tv when attaching the tv mount plate to the arm is the most frustrating experience I’ve had leveling a tv. There are 3 large bolts/nuts, all 3 are in “angular” holes, I had to check the level every half or so turn of each nut when tightening them, then if it shifts while tightening, loosen and start over. Then once it is tightened and level, if you actually use the swivel feature it goes way out of level. I don’t know if this is just mine, or specific to this mount, or the nature of these type of mounts. It kind of makes sense if the arm isn’t level in all directions (even coming off the wall) that swivel would cause an issue. Finally I leveled it in the position it will be in most of the time and left it. Doesn’t support 100x200 VESA, but I wasn’t able to find any mounts in this style that do. This tv is 200 vertical not horizontal, the mount does support horizontal 200x100. I also ordered an adapter plate which worked fine. I reread the instructions and part of the issue I had with leveling was my fault.
