NO MORE smelly oil or gas, engine maintenance or starting issues!

For years I paid a landscaper to mow and edge my yard as I hated to deal with buying and storing gas and oil, mixing such for my trimmer and blower and dealing with maintaining 3 different gasoline motors. For the last 5 years I've lived in a home with about 4,000 sq ft to mow. Now that electric mowers/trimmers/blowers eliminate the headaches of storing gasoline/oil and maintaining small motors, I decided to start maintaining my yard myself and got the EGO LM2101 mower. It's actually more mower than I need but I couldn't resist the sale price and its light weight/maneuverability make it a breeze to use and store. I barely drain 1/4 of the battery for mowing and I'm sure when I bring my EGO trimmer and blower from the farm to my home that I won't drain a full battery to do the lawn. I get a little exercise with quieter equipment without having to breath exhaust fumes or spilling gas and oil or having to dispose of used oil. And if I ever get a different home with a larger yard, I'm sure this mower will be up for the task

First battery mower - exceeded my expetations

Have used my new EGO mower twice. Easy assembly and fast charging are favorables. The mower is a bit heavy for a cordless electric, but its power and excellent self-propel feature make up for that. It maneuvers easily in spite of its weight. Is very solidly constructed, with easy mowing height changes. The model I (LM2102SP-A) got came with two 4 amp-hour batteries - managed to mow the first time on only one, and I have a fairly large yard. My only disappointment was low pickup of leaves. I purchased and installed the high-lift blade and that fixed that issue. It did run the battery down faster - had to use about 20% of the second one. That is not a problem - It will got the yard done with power to spare. It mower very well - my yard looks like a green carpet now. So far - VERY happy!

My lawn mower has headlights!

I've been mowing my little yard with a corded electric push mower that my neighbor gifted me twenty years ago. Mowing was a chore. Then I visited my sister's back east and she had one of these- electric, no cord, self-propelled- and mulching, so no bag to empty. The clouds parted and angels sang. I... must... have... one. Click click and two days later it's on my doorstep. Easy to use, plenty of power to do my whole lawn, the variable speed function is great- I have mine set to "geezer" so that it does the best possible job of mulching- because NO MORE BAGS for me. My only quibble is that the distance from the blade arc to the front of the mower is a bit much, so it's difficult to cut all the way into those corners unless you can fit the mower sideways. Oh well, I'll just have to get out my new electric weed whacker...

EGO 2100 A Good Buy

Went to Lowes to buy this, waited nearly a hour and never got any help. Amazon delivered it to my door in 3 days at a better price. I was not sure about buying this as I had always had gas mowers till now. It was ready to go right out of the box and easy to use. Took a bit of learning to use the rear wheel drive properly and I was unhappy at having to order a high lift blade to bag the clippings. Should have been told up front it did not come with the mower. This unit comes with 2 batteries and a charger, takes about 1/2 hour to fully charge each one. No gas, no oil and, very little noise. Lawn looks better each time I use it.

I love this mower!

I have a very tiny strip of grass and weeds and small rocks and have just been using a weed eater on it for several years, but I'm an old lady and just got fed up with it, so decided to splurge on this totally unnecessary tool. I'm so glad I did. Now, I can't wait for the grass and weeds to grow so I can go out and mow. It only takes me 5-10 minutes (that's how small the area is) so I'm really tempted to just keep going and do my parts of my neighbors' yards too, but I don't want to spoil them. Now, I'm hoping my Black and Decker battery string trimmer and blower die so I can buy some more EGO stuff.

Super happy so far

Just got the mower today. Unpacked it, charged the battery for 30 minutes, and started mowing. I was really surprised by how great it was. Better than any gas powered mower I've ever used. My grass was a foot tall because my gas powered mower finally died, and it didn't bog down a bit. My yard is on a hill and the self propel worked amazing. I was able to mow uphill with one hand. It's only day 1, but if it lasts I couldn't be more happy.

Plenty power and and battery never runs out on my small lawn

Mower came assembled and was easy to set up. It has multiple mowing levels. My grass looks great. It seems like I could mow a much larger lawn. It takes me about 30 minutes to mow and that include moving a large trampoline. Always plenty of battery left. I charge it when I'm through and it only takes a little while. I was a some what nervous but had a Ego blower and hedge trimmer that I was very happy with. When I saw the good price and the power was greater than others I was looking at I pulled the trigger. I have mowed the lawn three times , no complaints.

EGO self propelled mower

Love this thing. I replaced my 10 yr old Craftsman 21" mower after the self propelled system stopped working despite adjusting it. Bought this instead. Love it! It is light and easy to make turns. I almost have to chase it up the hills. So much quieter. Can now mow the lawn in the morning and not worry about waking the neighbors up. Battery life is good and speed of charging is amazing. Definitely get two batteries however. If you need to switch out the first one, it will be recharged by the time you use up the second one. So you could potentially keep rotating them. My lawn is about a 1/3 of an acre and takes 1 1/2 batteries worth of charge to finish it. Only caveat is the rear discharge chute is too narrow. If you are really plowing through tall grass or it is wet, it will clog. Haven't tried bagging yet nor using the mulcher insert yet. Would definitely consider this purchase however if you are thinking about getting an electric mower.
