Best Mount for Garmin Transducer
This mount is way better than the molded plastic mount that came with my transducer. Don't know why Garmin doesn't make this standard mount. If you are having problems with your transducer getting knocked out of position, use this mount. It holds the transducer in place much better and doesn't vibrate when going faster than 20 mph.

Does what it was expected
I bought this for to replace the plastic transducer mount which I thought would not hold up over time. THe SS mount was nice and sturdy but I replaced the 2 nuts and bolts with 1 shoulder bolt and a nut on the inside of the frame and a nut on the outside of the frame for a sturdy hold and easier adjustment if needed. I didnt think that this splash guard would really work on the new style of transducers considering that I had mine set to skim perfectly in the water but I was getting poor readings and a lot of rooster tails and vertical splashing. So I installed the splash guard and lowered the transducer and I have never seen such a smooth glide of a transducer in the water being set so low and I have no roosster tails and no vertical splash. My reading are solid and I am confident that the stainless steel mount will hold for many years to come. And the price was right, so I am happy.

Must have accessory.
I was getting terrible spray onto my engine cowling, even after adjusting the original plastic bracket several times! So I took a chance on this metal one with the larger front lip, and immediately noticed the spray was reduced 95%. Plus it’s must easier to dial in the transducer sweet spot! As others noted, for the $1300 cost of a Garmin it should be included, not an accessory!

Not Just For Transom Mounting
Arrived quickly. Fits perfectly on my transducer pole mount from FishFinderMounts.com. Now I can use either with pontoon boat or kayak.

I used this bracket to replace the plastic on that came with the GT 54 transducer - it's complete all the bolts & it's all Stainless Steel
