My conure who loves chewing ate threw it in about 2 weeks. The snaps were wonderful though I still use them

I may never see my green cheek conure again

I just got my green cheek conure last week. For the last two days, she hasn't wanted to be anywhere but on me, more specifically, on my hands. I work from home, and her cage is in my office, so I thought that would be close enough, especially at first, when I thought she'd be taking time to warm up to me. She has toys and perches in her cage, but she spent most of her time clinging to the bars in the corner closest to my desk, flapping her wings until I'd get her out. The one thing in her cage she seemed to like is the sea grass foraging wall by this same seller. She's been using it as a perch, and I've noticed her chewing on it, so I ordered this. Thank God! I installed it in the cage, and held her up to it and she immediately hopped onto it. That was over an hour ago, and she's still there. At one point, I was afraid maybe she had gotten stuck, but no. I offered her a treat, and she clambered off and across the cage, took the treat, and promptly returned to the top of the tent. I'm wondering if she'll ever let me hold her again. It's fabulous that she has something to keep herself entertained while I'm working. I'll be ordering more like this.

Not sturdy

My cockatiel loves this to sleep in all the time unfortunately it only last 2 to 3 months and it falls apart. I have tried hanging them a different way rearranging it no matter what I do it just falls apart. So every two or three months I have to buy another one but my bird likes it so well I keep buying them

Great for Conure!

Our Black Capped Conure loves his tent! We originally had a fabric one for him that was a little smaller and he would not go in it and was scared of it. Since he has a straw platform like this tent, I decided to give it a try and it was an instant hit! He also has a lot more room to move in it which I think helps. He might spend more time on top of it than inside of it, but he definitely naps inside! I saw someone had mentioned their bird got stuck in the large rings so I used some plastic links I had from a bulk pack to replace them all and to use two metal clips on each end to hang it more securely. I do think that the large round clips they provide are too big and I can see how injuries to birds have happened from these when they are attached. To rate this on exactly how I feel about it, I would give it a 7/10 in terms of being ready to go (needing to change links for safety, it doesn't come assembled, etc), but overall it's still a 10/10. Having to make small adjustments doesn't matter to me when I know my bird is happy!

Cockatiel loves it

My cockatiel loves this hammock. He sleeps on it most nights. He does also like to chew it during the day (completely natural, I don't mind) but I've had to rehang it and add plastic chain pieces because whenever he chews it further it falls down. Despite his chewing, this toy has lasted about two and a half months and still going. I'll happily purchase this again once my bird completely destroys the first one

Sturdy!

Better than the others I have purchase on Amazon. Well made and my Senegal loves it. Others I have purchased elsewhere have a funny smell and need assembly. I did need a hook to attach but used from an old one so no issue. My Coco will chew threw soon and will definitely purchase again!

Charming and great quality

Update- I ended up with two budgies who for the first week completely ignored the hut. The past several days the hut has become the center of their world. They spend all their hours shredding it. I don't think the hut is long for the world but am going to have to get another one perhaps after giving them a chance to explore some of their other toys. I ordered this in preparation for a new bird. I previously had a bird that became gravely ill after ingesting fleece and had another become trapped by string so it was important for me to get a bird safe hut. This one looks great and the plastic rings are easily used for other toys in the event the hut gets chewed. Will reorder for sure if needed.

Budgies love it!

The media could not be loaded. It’s quite a large toy, 3-4 budgies fit on top, and 2-3 inside. The sea grass is great for shredding. My guys usually take a day or two to try a new toy, but they hopped on this immediately. This is a good toy for birds who like swings.

Conure loves destroying it

Our Green Cheek Conure loves to climb all over this toy, snooze inside it, and most of all, shred it. We've had it for about six weeks and he's managed to chew through almost half of it - we'll be ordering another soon. These are not small, either, about 8" x 6" x 6" - that's a lot of chewing for a little bird.

A favourite!

My tiels LOVE these seagrass mats. I have bought 2 of these so far. I take the hideout apart to have 2 pieces, my birds pretty much live on these things! They love to destroy them and sleep on them.

Didn’t last

He broke it in half a day!! Too flimsy!!!! I would have to one to arrive every day. If you can afford that , Great! I can’t afford it so I’ll have to find something better.

Nice and pretty addition

Took a while for my lorikeet to start using it, and even then it prefers to stand on top than to be inside but whatever the preference, as long as he uses it, I'm happy ???? glad that it is something safe and natural. Does take up quite a bit of space in the cage though
