Very accurate
I have owned several of these units and have always been very pleased with them. Easy so setup, replace batteries, and the screen is very easy to understand.

Good buy . . . needs better manual and weather history "scalability".
Very nice weather station for the money. Wind chill functions automatically when there is enough wind to change the “feels like” temperature, otherwise, the station displays “dew point” in that space. It took me awhile to figure that out. The manual does not tell you that. Also, I wish the “History” graphs were scalable. We don’t always have 75 mph winds. So, the graph mostly rests on the bottom. Not very useful. It would be nice to be able to scale this at will. Must downgrade by one star for the lack of explanation in the manual and lack of scalability in the weather history. Otherwise, I would buy this again and would recommend it to someone looking for a good value.

Nice anemometer but. . .
This is a handsome unit with a small footprint which won't look ugly or upset the neighbors. It was easy to set up and the vanes are always turning, it even measures wind speed down to 1mph, something the Big Boys don't do. I have mounted it on a 10' pole where it captures all the wind and is not blocked by trees or houses. The signal is very strong and it captured the atomic time immediately. Now why it only gets 4 stars: It mounts on a 3/4" pole, readily available at Home Depot. Despite the admonitions that a metal pole might attract lightning, get one anyway. A plastic pole will whip in the wind, and lightning will hit the highest object, your house not the anemometer. Mounting this illustrates a true design flaw. When this is placed on a 3/4" pole, it needs to be tightend onto the pole by two set screws which tighten the two halfs together. Good luck. The screws are deeply recessed and are so tiny you can barely even see them. I do not exaggerate when I say you will need the smallest jewler's screwdriver on the planet, phillips head, to even make contact. Then you cannot generate enough torque to tighten the screws. This would be a deal breaker if the pole did not penetrate so far into the unit it could not fall off anyway. Were it mounted on a plastic pole the wind would whip it around so much it would fall off. Does the manufacturer ever test their products before rushing them to market??? The final negative is something which is beyond control. During the day the solar radiation gives a temperature about 2-3 degrees above normal. It would be nice if there were a compensation feature which would allow this to be adjusted, but then the nighttime temperature would be off a few degrees. Also, a backlight should have been included. For you desert dwellers, the humidity level reads down to 1%, here in Las Vegas it is in the single degree range 6 months a year. This is rarely spelled out in the summary of products. To conclude, this is a well constructed station with the console extremely easy to read. If you can work around the limitations, you will enjoy it. To conclude, this

OK product, short lifespan, glitchy website, less than zero, rude, slow customer support
Worked fine for just under 3 years. Sensor quit communicating with base. Website indicated to use email to sort it out; each email took about 1-3 days to get a reply. One was helpful and I was able to reconnected the sensor and base...for one day. After that, they said to buy a new sensor. A flash sale on a newer, similar unit was cheaper than a new sensor, so tried to order it...three times. Each time, their site glitched, showed a screen that indicated the order didn't go through. Then I started getting emails indicating each DID go through. Tried the chat to fix this issue during their limited hours; spent an hour to be told in a very impersonal way this would be handled by email and the chat was terminated. I tried again with the same result, so off to email I went. I explained via email that I only wanted ONE of the orders. About 4 days later, I received an email saying ALL were cancelled. I explained again I wanted ONE at the advertised price when the order was placed. A few days later, I received a rudely-toned email saying I have to buy it at full, non-sale retail. Forget it, if this is how you treat people. You'll NEVER have a conversation with them: no phone option I could find anywhere, the chat function has limited hours and will make you wait an hour to be told to watch your email. If they'd honor their advertised prices, have ANY option to work with someone who isn't rude and in a reasonably timely manner, I'd recommend the product with minor reservation (I think these should last at least 6-8 years...the tech inside isn't new, and shouldn't be prone to wearing out for years; other brands regularly last 10-20 years by reports). So, sure, it's a fair product that will wear out before you'd want it to; they will make you spend hours to wait to be treated rudely, or you can just throw it away when it starts malfunctioning and save yourself the irritation of trying to communicate with them. I'd rather pay a little more for a higher rated product that will last longer and might have a trace of customer support. I'm glad some others have had a better experience...wonder how legit some of those with all the exclamation points are...

Cannot live without it
Bought as a unique gift for my science-loving, techie husband. Installed on the garage roof. Easy to set up the monitor. Very accurate. We took it down when we rebuilt the garage. I missed having it! Be sure to install in an open area where wind and weather pass by the sensor. Accuracy depends on correct sensor installation.

Fantastic accurate unit
I have had one for a few years and love it. I bought this one as a gift for my son-in-law. He loves it. The forecasting works great. He lives where it gets down to -40 and it still works. Just make sure u use lithium batteries for the outside unit. I gave it 4 stars on easy to read as the display unit is not backlight. However it works so well that I would buy again regardless.

AccuRite 0063A2 Wireless Weather Station
On a very windy day with speeds of at least 30kph, the wind indicator only showed 13 kph. so it does not appear accurate. Thus far, I am happy with the other features & I particularly like the atomic clock. My other complaint is that at about $125,00, it is expensive compared to other makes. I chose it, because it does not need to be plugged in to have a clear display & I couldn't find another that had everything that this weather station has. I have only had it for two weeks so cannot state how durable it will be. My previous LaCrosse lasted for many years & I only had to change the batteries 2 or 3 times.

Need to find a location that allows accurate temperature and wind readings.
This piece of technology has been great fun to use and we have it attached to a pole alongside our driveway. The most challenging part of the installation is finding a suitable location. It needs to be unobstructed so that accurate wind reading can be made and at the same time be out of direct sunlight for accurate temperature readings. That said, it should also be in a location that can't be reached by curious children or adults--we've discovered people deliberately swatting at the wind cups. The interior interface sits inside our house where we can easily read the temperature and wind speed. The outside unit is powered by AA alkaline or lithium batteries and initially we were worried that we would be continuously climbing up to change them in bad weather and in high places; however, the batteries last a long time (up to 2 years according to the manual). We live in a windy area and wanted to know the velocity. Our nearest weather station is too far away to provide accurate measurements or predictions. Power: 4 AA alkaline or lithium batteries

Tons of weather information
It was easy to assemble and set up. I got it primarily for wind velocity information because we live on a very windy point by the ocean in northern Nova Scotia. I am pleased with the amount of other weather related information it provides as well and with it’s seeming accuracy.
