27” iMac 2017 protected from a toddler
I have a 1 year old and I didn’t want my iMac nor baby hurt. Installed onto an IKEA Micke desk. We had a drill with a 5/8 bit (which is the size recommended on the instructions). The mount is also held down by 5 Phillips screws. I also tethered the desk into the wall. I installed a little further back than the desk to not interfere with the drawer function. Very happy with it. Looks sexy in my opinion. I taped the keys to the back computer so I won’t lose them. Highly recommend if you have kids.

Make sure to register your Keys!!!
I have lost the keys and there is absolutely no way to get spare keys if you haven't registered your product... The only solution support is giving me is to call a lock smith, break the lock, break the desk it is mounted on or break my 3000$ iMac stand... They did offer me a 50% discount to purchase a new stand. Lovely!

Great Add On.
The Apple iMac is pretty stable but if you have cats this is a must have to ensure they don't knock it over. A small price to pay to protect your investment. They might want to come up with a way to attach to the desk that doesn't require screwing it down. The lock is also nice since it guards against theft. Recommend.

Great product, but can be better for the amount spent.
It is worth it to secure your iMac to a desk, just make sure the desk is not a flimsy one. Now the problems I have with this is that the holes don't line up and aren't big enough to fit the power cable through. I mean how are you supposed to cable manage that? The company could have just made one circle hole to fit the one on the iMac. The other problem I had was actually sliding my iMac into the stand. I couldn't easily slide it in and that had scratched the sides of my mac, I wish that there was padding in the prongs that hold the Mac down so it can prevent scratches and it'll make it a tighter fit in the end. Until those problems can be addressed, this is for those thinking about buying this product

Won't unlock
So I put it together. But now I can't get it unlocked and there is a little wiggle room between the parts so it rattles. I have it in my van (what I'm living out of) and need it secured down right and have a hr options to take it off if needed... But now it won't unlock and I can't remove it.

Solid as a Rock!
A bit expensive for what you receive, but a reasonable price for peace of mind. When on the road (mobile office), I often take my iMac with me. Not only does the Locking Station provide security for the iMac, but it also keeps it solid on those off road adventures. I highly recommend it!

Protect your desktop
This is an impressive locking system, sturdy materials, nice design, and an attractive enough piece of equipment. The only drawback are the instructions that come with it. They are not detailed enough at all and I who am really good at putting things together would have gotten it wrong if my ex hadn't assured me that a 5/8 drill would likely be too large for me to handle with no prior experience. The drill was pretty awesome,much larger than my 3/8 drill. Even he, a machinist by trade and blueprint reader from way back had trouble following the instructions. Because of his 50+ years of experience he was able to figure it out in spite of the directions.

Peace of mind
We purchased this after a recent break-in left us scared for our things. This thing is built very well, not cheaply made. You have the option to drill a large hole into your desk (which I highly recommend for added security) or use the smaller screw option for less descruction. All holes are covered by the bracket and it leads to a really sleek design. The only drawback I saw was that the power cord doesn't fit through the base at the back of the bracket (2015 iMac 27"). I feel safer with this in place.

INUTILE Non serve a niente è finto, l'ho acquistato ad un prezzo esorbitante €100 assurdo veramente!!! Sconsigliato assolutamente l'acquisto; sono molto più che deluso, mi pare assurdo che una società del genere produce un oggetto inutilizzabile.... C'è scritto che va bene sia per l'iMac 21, che per il 27 Non è assolutamente vero! La base della piastra è troppo grande quindi basta un movimento ondulatorio destra e sinistra X sfilare il PC!!! Poi il cavo di alimentazione non passa in nessun modo nei buchi della staffa. Il Luchetto è praticamente finto! Non buttate i soldi

Does the job!
Actually, the Kensington SafeStand is built really well, very sturdy, but the Imac 27' AC cord doesn't fit through the bracket opening. The AC cord has a collar which doesn't allow it to pass through the narrow opening. Update: Although the instructions clearly instruct you to put the AC cord through the bracket, I saw that the pictures of the safeStand on the Kensington website show the cord laying next to the bracket and not through the opening. So I assembled according to the picture. All in all it serves its purpose, so I'll give three stars.
