Works great, but...pads wear out quick
Works great, but... I have a teak table and chair set, and they have been neglected for over 10 years. They are pure gray right now, with black moldiness in some spots. I did one chair last night to test out the Starbrite 3 step system with these pads. The red pad was about 75% shot after one chair, and using both sides of the pad. I also worked in the black coarse pad towards the end for the rougher spots. I will need to order at least two more of these scrubber kits to get through my whole set and get it back to original condition, but it will be worth it! Overall, I'm happy with this product.

I had a red one to help clean my deck chairs, bought this set to try them on the teac along with the cleaneer and brightener sold by the same company, My deck chairs were dark gray (almost black) and though the red did an acceptable job- the black one is fabulous. cvleans quickly with less effort than the other.

Not for heavy scrubbing
Bought this set to use for my boat at end of season. White is like a sponge and doesn't do much. Red is okay and black will take the grass and bottom paint off. Given the good reviews I expected better.

Finally used it so I can say from experience it's great stuff. I had a teak table, no finish, on the porch for 10+ years. It was never directly in the rain but did get a little. Things were placed on top. I have never done anything like this before and was nervous but I needed to either clean up that table or toss it. I called Starbrite to make sure I understood how to use it and, I suppose, to get some encouragement. They were great. The table looks great. Took 4 coats of oil but looks brand new. I might just get a new one for the porch and find a place for this classy looking piece of furniture for the house. I used the cleaner, brightener, oil and the scrub pads.

Cleaned a teak table with 40 years of oil build up and couldn't have done it without these scrubbers!

Durable, effective, worked great
I bought a 15 year old used teak set (7 foot table and 6 large chairs) online that had year of grey patina built up. Using nothing but a bucket of water, some elbow grease, and the black coarse sponge, I brought the wood back to a beautiful grey/red kind look where it was still showing some nice patina but also had the natural color come through. The sponge took an absolute beating for three straight hours and held up great. I would have easily burned through a half dozen steel wool pads, and shredded my hands doing so, with an alternative product.

They work if your surface is already smooth.
These work ok, and do what is intended. However (IF) you have older Teak or ... furniture your trying to scrub these with. If it splinters it will quickly disintegrate the scrubs quickly. They are however great for that final finish look. I eventually had to buy a orbital sander to get rid of the larger issues on my Teak set given to me. However after the rough area is knocked down to a somewhat smooth area. These worked very well. LOTS of ELBOW Grease required.

Good concept, weak execution
I liked how the pads cleaned on my motorboat bottom. However it wasn’t five minutes into the cleaning process that the pad separated from the handle and I lost the pad in the water. The Velcro holding the pad on isn’t strong enough.If the Velcro had kept the pad on the product I would’ve given it a higher rating however losing it so quickly encouraged me to give up on this product. In attempting to find another pad I couldn’t find any replacements. I would not recommend this product.

A useful tool for cleaning teak furniture
Definately better than just a sponge. The hard back plastic piece helps with increasing pressure for easier cleaning.
