Works as intended & repurchased.

Updated review to say I have repurchased another No Damp, & will be adding to Subscribe & Save. We live in a fairly dry climate most of the year, so we do not need a dehumidifier, quite the opposite. This works wonderfully for what it is intended for. I added a photo to show the amount it filled before needing to be replaced, the back crystals become rock hard, that’s when you know the filtering in done. This took about 7 weeks, with showers twice a day, as long as 25min. The door to our water closet/shower area stays close with a fan running while being occupied but we still accumulate humidity in our washroom/closet area. Purchased this for our clothes closet which is off our primary bathroom, with no door leading to it. It did not smell musty, but I know that the bathroom fan in our shower area is not the most efficient. I hung it on the rod in our closet & within a couple days, I saw that the No Damp was fast at work removing moisture from the air. One thing to note is that I wish the hanging device was a little wider, bc my normal sized clothing rod was a tight fit. I also do not notice any artificial smells coming from my clothes or the closet itself, even though when on opening, the No Damp did have its own “fresh” scent.

Amazed by how much water this absorbed

The proof is amazing. Watching the bag fill up is oddly satisfying. I was stunned by how much water it pulled out of the air. After 3 months it is completely full.

I tried the damp rid but these work better. the damprid tends to clump up and not filter the water

I have one in a closet full of old pictures and various paper memorabilia that I took out of a storage shed because they started smelling like mildew. I tried the Mildew odor bag but ...

The No Damp actually does take the moisture out of the area of concern. It does have a slight smell similar to mothballs that I'm assuming will disappear once you no longer are using the Bag. I have one in a clothes closet and I have not detected any smell to my clothes so far but the closet itself has a slight mothball smell. I have one in a closet full of old pictures and various paper memorabilia that I took out of a storage shed because they started smelling like mildew. I tried the Mildew odor bag but it did not take the smell away. I am now trying the No Damp bag which is definitely taking moisture out of that closet, has caused the mildew smell to lessen, but so far has not completely taken the mildew smell away. Time will tell!

Star Brite Moisture Controlling Bags

I've been installing the Star Brite moisture absorbing bags for a couple of years at our cottage. They are especially useful during the late fall and winter months when unabated moisture could cause problems and allow mold to grow. I use them in our jet ski's battery and engine compartments, add multiple bags to all the compartments in our boat and place a couple bags in our dock storage locker. I have also added a couple bags to the utility room in the cottage. After a few months the bags are weighted down with more than a pint of water. During periodic inspections I replace any bags that appear to be spent - no ability to collect any additional water. The bottom lines is that we open everything up in early May and all the enclosed spaces are relatively dry, smell good and exhibit no sign of mold.

Great dampness preventative for boats!

I ordered these bags for our winter boat storage. Perfect size. As far as how good they work, we'll know in the spring.

Cumple su función

Lo he tenido un mes dentro del clóset, y ha recogido bastante agua. Le quitó el olor a humedad y ahora huele a aromatizante. Personalmente no me gusta mucho el olor porque es muy dulce, pero preferible al olor a humedad de antes.

En cuestión de 2 días se ve el cambio y dejo de apostar el auto a humedad después de que se inundó. LO RECOMIENDO
