Surprisingly good quality
We're all about 'leave no trace' in my family when we're out camping, so we used to have to wander around the camp site at the end of the stay to find all of our garbage. When you just have a garbage bag, people seem to not make the effort to go look for it and just leave their cans/junk laying about on tables for the wind to take away. I've used this on a few trips, I put a bundle of wood in the bottom underneath a garbage bag and it keeps the can in place and provides suitable heft that it's not going anywhere on accident. For whatever reason everyone remembers to go to the trash can when you've got one reasonably close at your campsite. The can is water tight, but I take my garbage bag out of the can overnight and throw it in the car so I don't have to worry about bears and racoons getting at my garbage can. How do I know it's watertight? At the end of our last camping trip, we had a fire that was going for far longer than we expected. Once everything was packed away, I carried the can down to the lake next to our camp site, and filled it up with a couple gallons of water to dump over the fire. To my surprise it didn't leak at all carrying it to the fire. If I ever have an issue with this garbage can, I'll be sure to buy another. Great quality.

We love this because it zips up so flies and bugs can't get in. Definitely works for us in the campground!

It did what it is meant for.
I guess I expected it to be a little bit bigger. Very easy to set up and break down. I actually keep the trash bag in it but just fold it down inside and zip it closed. We had no problem with skunks getting into it. We had one before we’re the skunks actually ate through the bottom to get to the trash. I now use moth balls or scented bags . Knock on wood no problems yet not even a chipmunk !

Its the size I need but there is a smell
I was looking for something to hold my big sleeping bag and blankets. It fits and looks pretty sturdy. Only issue is it has a smell and I am not sure that my sleeping bag won't end up picking it up. We will see.

Unconventional use
I use this camping garbage can unconventionally. I live in a major US city. At my last apartment, a high rise, the building management placed several dumpsters at basement level for residents, meaning I could take my garbage out whenever I wanted. At my current apartment, there's no dumpster and no outside garbage can. The pickup is once a week. If there's a storm, I'm holding garbage for *two* weeks. I tried to accommodate this by buying an extra large garbage can and an extra large recycling can. Most weeks that's enough space. Sometimes, though, I have overflow and I need a place to put it without stinking up the joint. This pop-up can collapses nicely and fits under my couch or behind my bookshelf. (I live in a small unit; space is limited.) It's ugly to look at, but better that than rotting trash smell in my kitchen. It holds in the smell incredibly well. Not perfect. If there's something particularly foul in my garbage, I might smell it after a few days, but mostly not. It's also quite roomy. I can fit garbage and recycling in there. I bought my first one in early 2015 and after about a year I noticed a puncture. I applied strong tape to it and it wasn't a problem. By 1.5 years the velcro straps that keep it folded up stopped... what's the verb? Velcroing? So I used large chip bag clips to hold it flat. I finally just decided to buy a new one. I get a lot of use out of mine, so it was worth the cost. I docked a star because of the hole and velcro, but it's sturdy and keeps the smell at bay for the most part.

Bought To Store Dry Dog Food!
Recently my husband bought a very large bag of dry dog food at Sam's and this particular bag of dry dog food did not have any way of closing it up tightly. At our house that is very important because we live out in the middle of the country and have a problem with field mice and insects--and mice are very attracted to dry dog food! So we have to always seal up any thing like this. Now this bag of dog food was so large that I did not have anything to pour it in to be able to seal it up. Since I only wanted something to put dog food in I was not too concerned with looks--only if the product worked and if it was not damaged when I got it. So I bought this collapsible trash can at the Warehouse Deals department--for $13. There was no damage and it sealed up nicely. Took me a while to transfer all the dog food into the can but it all did fit in the can. The can was so heavy that I had to drag it, I was not able to lift it--it was just that heavy! As heavy as the dry dog food was the can did not tear when I dragged it across the floor. I am well pleased with this collapsible trash can.

A Little Thin, Weak Spring
I have used another manufacture that is a manufacture in the electrical field. It has a larger spring and carries weight better. this is about the same cost, just noticed the spring steel is less in strength and thin materials. should be fine for normal job trash. The zipper lid is of no use for me, a little annoying. Long straps are a must for one hand carry and this one has that feature Other units that I have purchased had small handles that did not work well for me.

I wish I found this years ago!
For 35 years I've been tying trash bags to tent ropes, then trying to untie a stretched out, full trash bag to haul it to a dumpster. And you need 2 hands to throw something away; one to hold the bag open and the other to hold the trash. Putting a bag on the ground isn't any better because it's likely to fall over and spill. This summer I got one of these collapsible trash cans, and now all the guys I go camping with are talking about getting their own. We used standard 33-gallon draw-string trash bags which were big enough to roll over the top of the collapsible can, but we still had to keep an eye on it because the bag sometimes came off the lip and fell inside as guys threw beer bottles in. At night it was just a matter of zipping the lid closed until morning, and the foxes that came through out site never even bothered it. It stands up by itself and has Velcro straps to hold it collapsed. I will say that maybe yellow or orange would make it easier to see. The green kind of blended in with the grass and guys that were used to seeing a hanging trash bag wouldn't see it right away. But I'm going to get at least 2 more so maybe I can start bringing home any recyclables.

Waste of Money
Can is pointless for garbage. Therw are no interior straps or hooks to attach a bag to it. If you do you a bag, as one would think is a good place for garbage, you can't close or zip the lid. I bought a collapsible garden can which is infinitely more practical for a few tion of the cost. Also, shipping was several months delayed. One of my biggest amazon purchases I ever made. Don't waste your money--go to Dollarama.

Large size collapsing bin, great for garbage while camping
Large size (make sure u get large bags to fit it if it is used for garbage). Solid build. Holds up well to weather (used on 6 camp trips now). Zip top good to keeps wasps and flies out.

Parfait et durable
Très bonne qualité. Nous cherchions de quoi faire une poubelle extérieur pour le camping mais qui ne prend pas trop de place à ranger dans la roulotte. Ces parfait!!
