If Hose Were Longer & Better Grade Would Be 5 Stars

It is a compact (narrow tank), light and powerful shop vac that has 3 rigid plastic extensions and several attachments. But the hose is CRAZY short! Maybe 5 feet? With the plastic extensions you can maybe get up to 10 feet to vac a cobweb, but not further.

Excellent multi-use vacuum

This vacuum is even better than I expected! Works great, compact, lightweight and easily washable. Would absolutely purchase again!

Suction is great but hard to maneuver.

Bought this because I have a dog that sheds like crazy and normal even pet vacuums can't handle it. The suction is awesome and even on area rugs picked up all the hair. The wheels don't click in so they all fell off, going to try super glue. The hose even with extentions isn't long enough and has a Ben in it from being packed inside the vacuum I can't get out. I find even at 5ft 3 inches I'm bent over. If you are looking for a little shop vacuum with big suction I highly recommend but you may want to think about buying hose extentions and super glue for the wheels.

Poor quality and non-existent spare parts support - buyer beware

I bought the SL18129 model for use in my garage but turns out had very little use for it and it was just sitting there and not being used. So I was surprised to find that one of the two rubber latches on the top of the vac had mysteriously broken. It took me more than 2 month of to and froing with Stanley to find that this part is going to cost me an astronomic amount ($7.99USD for the part and $27USD for postage). The vacuum new cost me $80 CAD. So this insignificant part (the rubber latch) was going to cost me almost half the price of the new unit (after exchange rate adjustments). There was no reason for the part to break other than poor quality. I am going to throw away this vacuum cleaner because I am not really impressed with suction. It is also very unstable and keeps toppling over all the time. And now the rip-off on the parts.

Good vac

I've only used this on dry with a bag. Suction is good. Unit is light. Hose could be longer and wider as the hose is very narrow. I would suck anything large like chunks of dry walls or screws as they get stuck in the pipe. Unit is a bit tippy if you yank on the hose to hard.

Great for pet owners.

This is a great little shop vac. I have a furry dog and wanted something durable that I wouldn’t have to empty all the time. I live in an apartment and wanted something I’d be able to use on my balcony too, and knew I’d be fussy about using an indoor vacuum outside. Size is perfect and suction is good! I mostly have hardwood/tile or rugs i can shake out, so can’t really speak to how it would be on carpet, though there is an appropriate accessory. Would recommend to any pet owner over a typical indoor vac - especially for the price!

Switch failed and it can't keep the dust filter in place.

I've used a couple of Stanley vacs over the years and they've all had the same problem: the power switch breaks and you either can't turn it off or on. That makes it largely useless. Clearly Stanley must not believe in quality or they would have fixed this persistent problem years ago. This one lasted about 6 months before the switch went on it. I had to drill it out and put a better switch in. The retainer ring for the dust filter is also a terrible design. It easily falls off allowing the filter to fall off and the vac starts spraying dust all over the room. The fix is to replace the ring with a long cable tie, but you shouldn't have to do that. There are better brands out there, spend your money there.

Worth more than what I paid for

This is one of the best one I've tried for the price. I was surprised by the suction power and with all the accessories that came with it. The only thing that is a bit negative is the water filter, it is so very fragile, these manufacturers should try and find another material Good item for the price
