Don't Fret Over the Cover, Just Ditch It! Makes Great Popsicles!
I bought this a couple of years ago and I too struggled with the cover. Not once did the lid come off without a fight! I even had my husband use his Dremel tool and make the holes just a bit bigger. Still, a no go. I tried just covering it with foil and poking the sticks down through that, a so-so solution. But...now I fill the molds, no lid since it was trashed months ago, wait about an hour for the popsicles to partially freeze and then insert the sticks and finish freezing. Works like a dream. Just run warm water over the outside of the mold and gently pull the popsicles out. I use a standard bottle washer to wash it out, very easy, no dishwasher. Hope this helps, I truly do like this product. Only reason I didn't give it four stars is the issue I had with the lid! I bought food grade sticks, the ones I bought are no longer available.

They worked great and came out very nicely after running hot water ...
I bought two sets of these ice pop makers to replace my other versions that have plastic stick/covers, which I have lost the majority of. I wanted to get molds that used wooden sticks so I would no longer have to worry about losing the plastic sticks. They worked great and came out very nicely after running hot water over the plastic portion of the mold for about 15 seconds, they will come right out when you pull on the stick. I was able to put them in a large Ziploc bag and they did not stick together at all. The only negative I can report, is that the sticks seemed a little small for the molds, so I will probably use a different wood craft stick for my next batches. Otherwise, I am pleased with the quality of the mold itself. I love popsicles, but they are a bit expensive and this way, I am in control what goes in them. Making these yourself saves lots of money on healthy snacks. Most of my first round of pops came out just fine with a few of the sticks just slightly of center, so this is something I will master with continued use. These molds are very easy to clean, and if you need to remove each mold individually after they are empty, you simply squeeze the lengthwise sides of the pop mold from underneath the frame, and it comes right out. I would recommend trying this before your freeze your first batch, so you will know how it works.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE MOLDS
I bought two sets of these ice pop makers figuring that I would most likely use one and give one to a friend, no way! I love them, I make smoothies and freeze them I went on line looked up ice pop recipes and I use them all the time I have one set in the freezer at all times. Fudge pops, cream cycles, smoothies, you name it my favorite I made up was I made a vanilla milk shake with some Bailys Irish cream and OMG!! they are the best, and when I take them out of the molds I just run hot water down the sides of the molds and pull them out and they fit perfect in the little snack size Ziploc baggies so I can make more pops. The best part is I get to control what goes in them!!! fresh strawberries with some cream, no preservatives, no chemicals low or no sugar. Great deal saves lots of money on healthy snacks. More fun sharing the treats then giving away the extra mold not knowing if it would ever be used. One tip I learned after the first batch is before you put the pop sticks in the holes, hold it up against the outside of the mold and make sure it's about two three inches from the top of the ice pop, hold you thumb on the spot where the stick is at the top of the mold and insert till your thumb hits the lid also make sure it's in straight. other wise (like I did the first round) you may insert the stick to far in and when you take it out you have a short stick to hold on to your first bite is into the stick and it's lop sided. LOL but I learned quick!!

Unmolding and wrapping is my issue
These make adorable paletas. The molds are sturdy and wash up well in the dishwasher. Having said that... I find having to remove and wrap all 10 popsicles at a time aggravating. It’s my fault for not processing that would need to happen. Didnt think that through. Having to dip the pan in warm water to remove them made a few of my ends melt. Probably more operator error then an issue with the mold. I find the zoku brand popsicle molds suit my needs better as I can remove one at a time. I would purchase this mold again knowing what I know because it is good quality. I have had no issues with the metal.

Lid hard to remove once frozen
The metal lid is hard to remove after popsicles have frozen. I sliced the tip of my finger while removing and didn’t notice until I saw blood on two of the popsicles. Needless to say I had to throw away. I would recommend another type of lid or add something to edges or some kind of edge you can grip to prevent slicing finger. Next time I remove, I’ll wear gloves or just put plastic wrap over top and slices holes for sticks.

Easy to use and clean
This is my third or fourth set of popsicle molds, and it is by far the best one! The aluminum frame give sturdiness, but the food does not come in contact with it. I love the traditional popsicle shape, too. I have frozen one batch and taken the popsicles out (just a few seconds dipped in warm water and they slip right out) to store in zip bags while I get ready to make another batch. When the grandkids come, I will be ready! Also, I can enjoy them myself anytime I'm feeling need for a refreshing treat!

Wonderful mold
Poor quality control. The metal lid that came with the mold arrived bent. I was able to straighten it out so it properly fit onto the mold. I love how easy it is to use to make my frozen Greek strawberry yogurt bars. However, I wish it included more popsicle sticks. You have to remember to immerse the mold in a bath of hot water for about 30 seconds in order to get whatever you freeze out of the mold.

takes some getting used to
It is super tricky to get the popsicle sticks to go straight up and down and if they get crooked in the freezing process then they are too short to hold really well when you eat the popsicle. That having been said they are still better than trying to track down the plastic handles that come with other popsicle maligning sets I've owned.

Good
Good product, but hard to get popsicles out. If you don't put the top on exactly and the sticks in perfectly straight you basically have to break the lid to get them out.

Easy to remove frozen popsicle.
I love it! It is so easy to make popsicle, especially healthy ones! It doesn't take long to make them and they freeze nicely in a few hours. Easy to clean too!!

The CADILLAC of Popsicle Molds
Zero plastic odor. Very sturdy unit makes moving it without spilling easy. Strong, high quality plastic molds in non-removable metal frame and set-on cover. Clean up is super easy if done immediately. No bulging of form on freezing. Easy removal and comes out clean - just let it sit out a few minutes. This is the best popsicle mold out there. A friend's daughter literally paid for a year of college using this model, selling organic homemade popsicles at various events. She had made 10's of 100's of popsicles in it, when she loaned her set to me - gives you an idea of the quality - hers were still like new! I immediately ordered my own & results have been perfection. OJ, strawberry, raspberry and cantaloupe so far... GREAT buy!!
