Great foot massager...that works for one week

I was excited to get my SPT-763B Deep Kneading Foot Massager for Christmas this year (2014) since all of the research I had done (inclusive of reviews I had read) pointed to this one in particular. It's not the cheapest, but it looked like a heavy duty, well built piece of machinery for my feet....and I need that. (I'm diabetic and have a little bit of nerve damage in my feet)) I did notice that the first time I stuck my foot inside the massager felt a little painful...but after a couple pairs of socks were pulled on over my feet , It was a great massage. I loved it so much...I used it a great deal during the day. I work from home, and have it right under my desk. The only problem.....I had owned it for only 6 days of bliss, and then it stopped working. Yep...all the lights lit up.....they even made that little beeping noise to tease me that the rollers were going to kick in....and they just wouldn't....the rollers were frozen. I tried every way i could imagine to "reboot" this thing....and no go. I recall having read in the reviews that this had happened to a few other people only after one week of use...so i kept all of the packaging materials....boxed it up...and sent it back with one click to Amazon via UPS. (easy). They are immediately sending me a new one. I hope this next one lasts more than a week....:-(

Relaxing

The first massager I ordered was a dud, wouldn't even turn on. Amazon being amazing immediately shipped a new one that works like a charm. This was purchased for my husband that walks on concrete all day long for his job and comes home with very painful feet. He loves this thing. It is the best substitute I've found to someone actually rubbing your feet with their hands. The heat is also very nice. My only complaints: The power situation. You have to unplug it every time you are done or the display is always lit up. Why isn't there an on/off switch? I sometimes feel that my size 8 1/2 feet may be a little small for the full benefit of the pressure that this puppy puts out while my husbands size 13 seem a little big. When he uses it there is a popping noise as the little 'fingers' rotate. It works fine, but why is there a popping noise? The heat, while nice is really only on your toes. But I can't complain, this thing is awesome. It is huge, but awesome and worth the space it takes up.

I like it!

I wanted something that just didn't tickle my feet and actually had some therapeutic value and this unit so far fits the bill. It has fairly intense massage and it not for someone who just wants a footsie wootsie. I walk on average of two miles per day and play golf regularly and found that once I went to bed, the foot cramps were intolerable. I tried all the supplements without relief. I have this in front of the couch and use it on average thirty minutes each night while watching television and it's great. The first couple of minutes can be a little painful as it really attacks the muscles and forces them to relax. The only issue I have is that the infrared heating does not appear to be working on my unit. I have sent messages to the seller through Amazon on two occasions which have gone without a response. Customer service is obviously lacking and I thus far have been patient and am sending a second request today.

Did quite a bit of research and based on the functions and reviews got this unit just the other day. I didn't give much weight to the people that complained about it being painful or too rough since I have quite muscular, athletic and in general can't get massages hard enough. I'm a size 11.5 shoe and I have to say this machine was painful even on the lowest setting. I tried putting my feet in several different positions and even went and three on a pair of thick socks and it still hurt quite a bit. Woke today to swollen feel and a good amount of pain. Gave it an extra star as there is a possibility this could work for someone who can take the abuse but definitely be ware and take it from someone who loves very strong massages.... this machine is a monster. Very happy I have Prime so I can return this with no out of pocket expense.

Wife loves it! It may hurt more on big feet.

Wife uses this daily. She has small feet, woman size 7. I have large man size 12 feet. It hurts mine after a while, I can re-position a little and use it a little longer, but it does press a bit harder on big feet and so I can't use it as long. For me, it seems to do too much on the top of the feet, I would prefer more on the bottom, but I purposely do not press down because I do not want to add any extra wear to the gear mechanisms. The directions absolutely state not to stand in it, you MUST be sitting down. It is easy enough to slide towards and away from you, even on carpet, but it is not light-weight and absolutely not travel-friendly, you're not going to be flying with this without paying extra for the weight, and in fact I don't think it would survive being tossed around by baggage handlers without a custom-padded case protecting it. No issues with the function or gears after 4 months now. The red LED display never goes off, so you either have to unplug it or put something over it if it is near where you sleep and you like it dark. I recommend covering it or using a switch like Belkin Power Conserve Switch https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BVD0D66/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 so you don't wear out the unit's plug outlet or risk loosening it inside from constant plug-unplugs. The power cord is the typical computer cord, in fact most any computer's cord will work, which goes into a average-sized black "brick", which has a permanently attached cord ending in a typical round DC plug that plugs into the unit. This is not quiet, you can hear it in the next room. Whirr whirr humm hummm. It doesn't wake me up, but I'm a sound sleeper.

Saves the fingers

Good product, does the job and saves my fingers from massaging the wife's feet all the time!
