READ THIS — Staple Size Information

To address concerns regarding the staple size, the point of confusion is partially the product labeling. These are “Senco C” 22-gauge “3/8” crown” staples. Do not confuse these with 20-gauge “3/8 wide crown” (T50) staples. Note that a numerically larger gauge is physically smaller. The confusing part is the staple dimensions on the box. These staples measure slightly less than 3/8”. Since 3/8” converts to 9.5mm, that makes the actual staple measurement closer to 9mm, not 10mm as stated on the box diagram. Note that the 3/8” wide crown/T50 staples measure closer to 7/16” than to 3/8” and may actually measure 10mm. So if you’re thinking that since the 3/8” wide crown T50 staples are around 10mm, these Senco C staples would fit a T50 stapler, you’d be wrong. Regarding shipping, Amazon needs to wrap the outside of the staple box or the manufacturer needs to use better packaging. Expect to receive with staples loose inside shipping box and 1/3 of the staple strips broken.

Carton must be sealed

staple cartons were not sealed closed so without inner carton packaging came open, sleeves of staples became broken and unuseable.

What Happened to Hassle-Free Fullfilment from Amazon?

Up until about two years ago, ordering from Amazon was like clock-work... precise, dependable, and hassle-free, usually delivered by UPS. I haven't seen a UPS truck in a while. Now, when I get a delivery date, I might as well flip a coin. It's a guessing game. Lately, quite a few packages seem to show-up during the evening, only to be discovered the next day. And of course there's a rainstorm overnight, and the delivery is a soaking-wet mess. And when I spend a lot of money on a product, like a power tool, I expect ''A'' stock, brand new and unopened, not ripped apart and sloppily taped back together. My latest order (picture attached) was 10,000 staples, rows of staples broken and scattered in a box. No one thought to maybe put a strip of tape on either end of the damn box holding the staples? The quickest way to lose a customer is to treat the customer with indifference. Amazon had better wise-up and once again start paying attention to detail. Because we, Amazon's customers, are paying attention!

Crown not 3/8"

These staples were indicated to be 3/8-inch wide (crown) on the box. Measured they fall short of 3/8-inch by about 1/32-inch (see the photo). They will not fit in my upholstery staple gun. Other staples I have, which are marked 3/8-inch do fit in my staple gun and tend to be about 1/32-inch greater than 3/8-inch/ Be careful when ordering. Your staple gun may take staples narrower than 3/8-inch. Mine does not.

Mis-packaged with wrong description

These staples are NOT 10mm crowns as described and printed on the box. The staples are 8mm and will not work in a standard T50 (10mm) gun. The item should be pulled until this is corrected. Pictures show the difference compared to standard 10mm or 3/8" staples. i obtained a refund from Amazon with no problem.
