I have been using California Car Dusters since 1989. In fact, I still have the first one I bought. This particular edition is probably the best due to it 360 degree mop head.

Dry Clean Only

I just received my new California Super Duster to go along with my brand new car. This thing is great...especially in the days between a car wash and a rainy day. The California Super Duster will make it look like you wash your car every day. First let me just state the obvious: The Super Duster is meant for use on a DRY car....not wet. Sorry...just had to say it. The key thing about the Super Duster is that it doesn't leave those swirls that you might otherwise get from just wiping your car down. It's got super-soft bristles that glide over the finish of your car and remove all the dust. On the other hand, make sure *dust* is all you're trying to remove with the Super Duster. Don't try to use it on silt and other 'sandy" type build-ups. Don't use it on bird droppings. And never scrub with it; if a gentle glide doesn't remove what you're trying to get rid of, go to the conventional method(s) of cleaning your car. Otherwise you risk swirls or scratches. This is my second duster after owning my last one for...well...since sometime in the 90s. Thelast one I had was a bit smaller with only a 15" cleaning head; the one on this page has a nice, big 31" cleaning head. And I was almost reluctant to get the 31" because my 15" was still working so well after all these years. In fact, as time goes by the thing actually works *better* as it starts to look dirtier. After your first use or two you may experience a little streaking (which freaked me out), and it even tells you in the packing that this may happen due to a "parrafin wax" that the Super Duster's soft bristles are treated with. Rest assured that this stops after like your first few uses, the wax does not harm the car's finish and it easily wipes off. Before the first use of the Duster, remove it from its packing and let it hang in you garage for a day or two; this greatly reduces the amount of streaking that may occur on your first try. So if you can get by the minor "streaking" thing that *might* occur in your first try, you'll love the results that the Super Duster provides. It's like taking your best suit to the dry cleaner with the major difference being you get a bright, shiny car back in under a minute using the Super Duster. Now...hit the road!

I hope y’all find this one!

I’ve got two black vehicles and washing daily is not an option. Daily dusting should do the trick and there are many options available. I’ve tried many. After awhile all those other options do is push the dust around. Unacceptable. This is the one y’all need. I followed the instructions and wrapped the duster in newspaper for 48 hours. I gave my sedan a quick dusting and it worked perfectly. No streaking and no red lint. Vehicles look great.

Replaced A Ten+ Year Old One

This was a replacement for my dad who had one that was more than 10 years old. He uses it religiously on his cars and swears by how well it cleans the dust and pollen from the cars. Interesting fact, in all that time it was never washed and it still worked as well as the first day he got it.

a must have

unless you like washing your car with water all the time... this lets you skip at least a couple of washings in between and keeps your car looking good at all times.

IT WORKS!

It works great! I followed the directions about letting it sit on newspaper for a day or two and shake the hell out of it! The first time I used it a bit of what seemed like lint was left behind on my car! I believe this was just minute specks of wax that the duster left behind! I love it!

Heed the instructions

Wrap it in paper to sop up extra wax for a couple of days before use. Do not put it on any sensitive surface like unfinished wood or it will leave a residue on it permanently. I wrapped mine in fresh shop towels for 4 days to remove the excess or else it will leave a film on your car. Once done it works very well in removing dust and leaving your wax shine gleaming.

I have an earlier version that I bought 25 years ago in CA...its been a great tool in keeping the cars clean without a lot of fuss. The new unit is just like the old one...Highly recommended for any clean car "nut"..especially when a full wash is not warranted..best car care product available..word of warning...the neighbours will start to wonder when you "dust" your car..while they are washing theirs!!!
